The site for the bank building has been changed from the lot adjoining the Riviere brick building to the lot between the postottice and Richardson's store. All meats were of uncle level and cook, who has had years of experience in barbecuing meats, and it is useless to say that he had the meats cooked and seasoned as nicely as could be desired. Everything being in readiness dinner was announced at one o'clock and a crowd of one thousand people feast- ed on the nice dinner spread before them.

There was plenty for everybody to eat and enough left to feed a hundred more. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves nicely and all was pleasant and lovely. We feel that Cleveland has battled down the dark ages and will hereafter be one of Liberty best and most peaceful little towns. The writer has known Cleveland from its infancy to the present time, and we feel proud that a lawless spirit is giving way to that of peace and good will. We thank the good people from neighboring towns for their presence and good wishes.

Our gardens afford us an abundance of nice vegetables, with tender roasting-ears, spring chickens, and plenty of milk and butler, we bid defiance to hard times, though a depleted pocket-book stares us in the face. J. Babcock, of Devers, a few miles this side of Sour Lake, is in the city. Mr. Babcock has a large tract ol land within four miles of the Sour Lake disirict, and he has held for a long time that there is oil on the land. Owing to ill health he has not developed the field, but his visit to the city at this time is for the purpose of making arrangements to sink a number of test vvehs.
