Duty Choice For GI Ends WASHINGTON (AP) The Army is suspending regulations which give a soldier the opportunity to ntrenlist for a U.S. station of his choosing. New men entering the service no longer will be guaranteed specific assignments abroad under the overseas command enlistment option.

These two changes take effect July 1 a of Viet Nam requirements. A spokesman said that with the buildup in Southeast Asia more and more replacements are needed ror servicemen ending tours of duty. With more slots to fill in Viet Nam, the Army has less flexibility in where it can send men. Heretofore, a man re enlisting in the Army could select iD.i station where he would serve his next tour, and be virtually guaranteed of getting it, A similar guarantee applied to a new men entering the Army who asked for assignments Europe, Korea, the Pacific, or Alasa. PRAYERS IN ENGLISH LONDON (API An English version of.

some prayers in the mass has been agreed by the British Roman Cathlic hierarchy and may be used by the end of the year, says Archbishop George Dwer of Birmingham. But he added that a final universal English language text for the mass was unlikely for at least three years. Until now English, Welsh, 1 1 i and Irish Caiholic churches have been using slightly differing versions of certain prayers. A committee of the English National Liturigical Commission has been working for 18 months on a translation of the missal. Cuariinrj.
