It is an enterprise close to my heart, for there is a deep gratification, indeed, in being able to give to my towns-people the finest that money, creative genuis and art can produce in the way of an amusement palace. This theatre is called the Fabian, for I regard it as a close and binding tie in the city which has been the scene of many, many years of business activity and happiness. I It is with a thrill of satisfaction that I realize that Paterson now posesses a theatre which would do credit to any city in the nation.

Paterson is welcomed to the new IFabian Theatre, in a spirit of gratitude and appreciation I or the patronage which has been given to my other enter-i prises here, and with the pledge that the entertainment at this new theatre will maintain the standard on which the Ihouse was planned and built In opening the Fabian Theatre, I do so with the fi thought in my heart that Paterson may be the gainer in the days to come that other and even finer structures may riw to keep company with it and to grace the splendid city of Paterson, which I am proud and happy to claim as my I home. 4.
