Marshall Goldberg is one of the finest sophomore running backs hay' seen. lie ignited the spark that made Pitt get stronger and stronger as the game Notre Dame- has a lot of work to do. especially on such fundamentals as blooking, tackling, and holding on the ball.

The first big break of the game came when we fumbled on the Pitt 45-yard line early in the second period. 'After an exchange of kicks, Pitt began the march to its first touchdown. Encouraged by this touchdown, Pitt turned what might have been a close game into a onesided victory. Notre Dame had fumbled only once in three games before yesterday, but fumbled the times against the Panthers. This was due to overanxiety of the backs to drive for extra yards and partly to Pitt's hard tackling.

In Tony Matisi, Pitt has a great tackle. He caused us trouble all afternoon. Drunell, at the other trickle. and Hensley, hacking up the line at center. were other in the Pitt line.

Glass-I ford' played a fine game at guard I for Pitt, despite injuries which threatened to keep him out of the game. Our players haven't realized the necessity for intensive work on fundamentals perhaps, but I am sure they were impressed with this need in yesterday's game. Pitt was fine example of a team that has mastered these element el points. I know that our boys will keep plugging away and that they gained a world of valuable experience yest erda y. (Copyright.

Early in the opening period Bethany marched to Theil's 45- yard line and from this position George Petross. former Uniontown, Pa star dashed off tackle for the first score. In the second quarter, Bethany again placed the ball on Theirs 45-yard line and from this position Petross repeated his romp for the second score.
