There are 200 farms, 500 dwellings and boarding houses, oil wells, 10 schools, 2 churches, 12saw mills, 2 chemical works, 2 charcoal works (12 ovens), 2 planing mills, shingle mill, clothes pin factory, cheese factory, and machine shop, whose employes trade at Kane. The learned professions are represented by 13 teachers, 7 doctors, 6 ministers and 4 lawyers.
