Wally Gant, a bachelor fishmonger from Yorkshire, England, officiated as best man for the 50th time in 1964. He first did the honors to 1931. of Bluff Dale; and two sisters, Mrs. Ferris Dan- of Midland and Mrs. Ona Holley of El Campo.

Mrs. Annie Hix HAMLIN (RNS)-Mrs. Annie Hix, 86, of Hamlin, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday in Hamlin Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services are pending at McCoy Funeral Home.

Born Annie Childress, Feb. 3, 1888, in Leonard, she married J.E. Hix, May 5, 1906, in Vera. He died Aug. 1, 1956.

A Methodist, Mrs. Hix was a 62- year resident of Hamlin. Survivors are one son, John of Hamlin; two daughters, Mrs. S.E. Branscum and Mrs.

Burial will be in the Garden of Memories. Born Susie Long Jan. 15, 1899, she married Roy D. Jackson In Stephenville. He died Aug.

3, 1958. Mrs. Jackson was a 30-year resident of Ballinger and a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church. i are one son, James L. of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Wylie E.

Long of Gatesville; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Vineyard of San Ang'elo, Mrs. Dora Farrow of Stephenville and Mrs. Minnie Roder of Napa, California; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Oscar Parker, Dude Smith, Merle Taff, Bud Montgomery, Bruce Howell and Roy Ruth.

G. C. Dial SWEETWATER (RNS) G. C. Dial, 63, of Odessa and formerly of Sweetwater, died Sunday night in a truck accident at San Diego, Tex.

Details on the mishap were unavailable Monday. Services for Mr. Dial are pending with McCoy Funeral Home here. He was bom Aug. 23, 1911, at Clairemont.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, George of Odessa and Daniel of Austin; a daughter, Mrs. Donny Me El ye a of Sweetwater; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Cliff Miller of Sweetwater. Willard Middleron WINTER (RNS) Willard Otis Middleton, 57, of Wingate, died at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, after a brief illness.

He was admitted to Dyess Air Force Base Hospital Oct. 8 and transferred to Lackland AFB Hospital Thursday. Full military services will be at II a.m. Wednesday in the Spill Memorial Chapel, conducted by Dyess Air Force Base. Burial will follow in Wingate Cemetery.

Born Nov. 2, 1916, in Bradshaw, Mr. Middleton married Billye LaVerne Clanton Nov. 23, 1947, in Abilene. She died May 12,1971.

He married Mrs. Nida Stone Haney on Sept. 24, 1974, in Burkburnett. Mr. Middleton entered the Army Air Corps in 1934 and retired as a master sergeant in 1967 after 23 years of service.

He moved to Wingate where he operated a service station. Survivors are his wife; one son, Wayne of San Antonio; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Fenwick of Ballinger; one stepson, Wyatt Haney with the U.S. Navy; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Tony Sparks of San Angelo and Sindy Haney of the home; his mother, Mrs.

Hattie Middleton of Graham; two brothers, Calvin of Graham and Travis of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
