The Bureau of Anthracite Coal Statistics furnishes the following: The statement of anthracite coal tonnage for the month of May, compared with the same period last year, shows an lucrease of 151,116 tons. The entire production was 2,851,470 tons, of which 1,447,601 were from tbe Wyoming region. 648,367 from tbe Lehigh region and 855,501 tons from tbe Schuylkill region. The stock of coal on hand at tide water shipping points May 31, 1883, was 812,425 tons; April 80, 1888.

Tbe fact that there had been two sharp de clines for good reasons early In tbe day and each time a rally to a point better than the Saturday dosing, Indicated no very soft market, whatever may be In store for the future.
