You go for atmosphere. Kennedy Manor is in the basement of an elegant apartment building bearing the same name at the Edgewater end of Langdon Street. Its sleek, spare and styhsh. Dining there can sometimes to tough it out.

The other member of the party had no worries since he stuck to juice and milk. Others in our group also ordered the freshly squeezed, pulpy orange juice which somehow tastes better out of my home juicer. The wait staff looks nice, however, clad in classic white aprons tied around their waists.

What I have always liked best about the restaurant is the dramatic bread table in the center of the room where the wait staff busily cuts French bread and supplies square slabs of butter. Since the visit under review was a brunch, the servers also used pincers to dole out miniature triangular scones. (The black currant are far better than the orange.)
