and Mrs. Chas. Dickman Return from Eastern Tour Summer Departs Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dickman returned home last week from an extended tour of the East.

They were accompaneid by Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Hinsch of Pipestone, Minnesota. Stops were made at Chicago, Cincinnati and Washington, D.

Of special interest to Mr. Dickman was a deep sea fishing trip, which took -them well out in the ocean into the steamer lanes. The trip was very successful, and the entire party enjoyed a salt water sea food dinner. Miss Miriam Bakker Named New County Health Nurse At the last meeting of the Sioux County Central Nursing Committee, ftfiss Miriam Bakker: of Steamboat Reck Iowa, was elected connty public health nurse to -fill the vacancy occurring by the resignation of Miss Alice Huisenfeldt who -plans to attend the University of Minnesota this year. 'Miss Bakker attended Cedar Falls Teachers College, graduated from the School of Nursing at the Urtiversity of Iowa, and received her Bae-ielci of Science degree with a major in public health nursing at the University oj Minnesota.

In a survey conducted planning committees, 70 percent of 6.400 farmers replying said an increased proportion of the total AAA payment should be made for soil conserving purposes.
