George Dolores Ann Nocket April 15, 2007 Dolores Ann Bercik Nocket, 76, of Newark, formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Matlock and a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School. She was a member of St.

John-Holy Angels for 43 years and a former member of Holy Angels sodality. She was active in the Frugal Investors Group at Newark Senior Center and the Academy of Lifelong Learning and was an avid college football fan. Dolores worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the 1950's before relocating to Delaware. She retired from the Dupont Co. after 20 years service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her daughter, Kathy; her brother, Joseph Bercik. Surviving are her children, Peggy Nocket Patti and her husband, Bill, Barbara Blake and her husband, Jim, Elaine Burg and her husband, Greg, JoAnn Beddow and her husband, Tom, John Nocket and his wife, Karen, Eddie Nocket and his wife, Dawn; her nine grandchildren, Erin, Colleen, April, Kathleen, John Michael, Elizabeth, Kylie, McKenzie and Olivia; sisters, Virginia "Ginny" Wytovich and her husband, Bob, Pottsville, Pat Morgan and her husband, Philip, Pennsauken, N.J.; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Nocket and his wife, Lucille, Schuylkill Haven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, Del. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.

Melnicove April 13, 2007 Mildred M. Melnicove, 92, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away Friday at her home in Indialantic, Fla. Born in Orwigsburg, Feb. 13, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Eva Deibert. Brevard County was her second home since 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Melnicove, MD. She was a long-time member of the Order of Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic Auxiliary and was a charter member of Friends of the Scrub in Florida. She had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. She received her nursing degree from Northeastern University in Philadelphia.

She worked at Lying-in Hospital in Philadelphia and later worked in her husband's medical practice in Pine Grove. She enjoyed traveling and visited Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. She was a supportive wife and a loving mother with a special sense of humor. We will miss her. Surviving are four daughters, Sue Thurmond, Deland, Nancy, wife of William Shutts, Plantation, Mary, wife of Kenneth Wales, Mason, Ohio, and Annette Melnicove, Indialantic, a son, Donald and his wife, Alice Melnicove, Pine Grove; a sister-in-law, Thelma Palkovich, Wyomiss- Alma S.

Bittle April 17, 2007 Alma S. Bittle, 93, of Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg, formerly of Schuylkill Haven and Deer Lake, passed away Tuesday at Orwigsburg Center, where she had been a resident for 4y2 years. Born in Schuylkill Haven, Dec. 6, 1913, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Neckter Zweizig. She was married to Morton J.

Bittle, who died in March 1974. She was last employed for the former Wynne-Ann Schuylkill Haven, until retiring in 1975. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Krammes; and a brother, Lamar Zweizig. Surviving are a brother, Clarence Zweizig, Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside memorial services and interment to be held at 11 a.m. April 26 in Zion's Red Church Cemetery Route 61, Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Carl R. Adams officiating. There will be no public viewing.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1976; a son, John in 1989; a brother, Stephen Krouch; sisters, Anna Krouch, Helen Fioriglio and Pauline Deshler. Surviving are a daughter, with whom she resided, Mary E. Balulis and her husband, John; two sisters, Elizabeth Popvich, Bath, and Mary Souders, Nazareth; four grandchildren, Cynthia Albright, Stephen Regrut, Elizabeth Hollingsworth and Michael Regrut; six greatgrandchildren; nieces and nephews. Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Joseph and Eva Stutzman Earlosky. He attended Minersville Area High School.

He was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of English Lutheran Church, Minersville; North Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Haven, Pottsville AMVETS, Cressona American Legion and Buck Fever Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Betty Pehlman, in 1995; two daughters, Jo-Ann Earlosky and Stacy Terway. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Buchanen, Harrisburg; three sons, Vince Earlosky Llewellyn, John Earlosky, Deer Lake, and Jeremy Earlosky, West Hazleton; four grandchildren; a brother, Aaron Earlosky, Friedensburg; three sisters, Eleanor Taposkie, Friedensburg, Elsie Faragale, Plymouth Meeting, and Mary Jane Stauffer, Pine Grove; a companion, Ruth Nebroskie, Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews. George Krassowski, 70, of Robeson Township, Berks County, died Tuesday in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, where he was a patient for one day He was married to Audrey Schropp Krassowski, Robeson Township. Born in Union Township, he was a son of the late Michael and Alma Bryson Krassowski. He had been a self-employed carpenter jobber for 25 years before retiring in 2002. Prior to that, he had worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber and drove a school bus for Eschelman Transportation. He was a member of St.

James Lutheran Church, Giegertown, where he served on the property committee for 50 years and served on the church council. He was an avid bowler at Bowl-A-Rama, where he was in the Senior Mixed Wednesday League and the Senior Men's Thursday League. He was also a member of Geigertown Fire Company He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan E. Heckman Krassowski, in 1971. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Debra wife of Claude D.

Mervine, Shil-lington; two sons, Curtis B. Krassowski, Exeter Township, and Christopher husband of Ellen Krassowski, Oswego, N.Y.; a brother, Andrew husband of Marjorie Krassowski, Vernon, a sister, Mary wife of Harry Cirullo, Douglassville; three grandchildren, Lisa J. Mervine, Brooke C. Krassowski and Collin M. Krassowski.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. April 28 in St. James Lutheran Church, Geigertown. The Rev. Beverly K.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah. She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Jenicke. Surviving are three daughters, Celestine, wife of Domi-nick Salamida, Orefield, Georgine, wife of Ronald Cialdella, Indianapolis, and Eileen, wife of Fred Bad-man, Hummelstown; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Nellie Pon-cavage, California.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Apple-wood Drive, Orefield, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner officiating.

com Richard Hoiden April 17, 2007 Richard Hoiden, 81, a resident of Pinebrook Personal Care, Orwigsburg, passed away Tuesday morning at Pottsville Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Aug. 10, 1925, Richard was a son of the late Frank and Anna Ostrosine Hoiden. He moved to Bensalem in 1972. Richard was a Navy veteran, having served during World War II as a machinist's mate, MM2 and again in Korea as an MML2.

From 1964 until 2004, Richard worked for General Doors Corp. He was a member of Nesh-aminy Valley Baptist Church, Bensalem, which he helped build. He was president of the Philadelphia Rose Society for two years and he loved woodworking. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Bickley Widel, in October 2004. Surviving are a sister, Dorothea "Jerre" Cubler and her husband, Dr.

Edward Cubler, Schuylkill Haven; two stepchildren, Mary Ann Widel, Miami, and George Ross Widel, Simi Valley, nieces, Dolly Sitkus, wife of Steve, Pottsville, Bonnie Jullian, wife of Joseph, Orwigsburg, and Amy Goodman, wife of David, Doylestown; a great-nephew, Andrew.
