Wednesday, February 11, 1976 The Evening Sun 23 Plaza Two Theaters Will Open POSITIVELY LAST 2 NIGHTS! SHOWS AT 7 9 P.M. iimtBigTflTRnnigaa js zsszu urand opening of the areas first twin theater, Plaza I and II, North Hanover Plaza, is scheduled for Wednesday evening, according to Dave Reichert, supervisor of the Plaza and Hanover theaters and district manager for Fox Theaters Management Reading, owners of the local movie houses. Conversion of the Plaza Theater, a 588-seat movie house, to a twin theater was begun in mid-January, and all alterations necessary to convert it to a twin theater are scheduled to be completed Wednesday, Reichart early this year. By making the conversion, we are now able to give the theater-going public in the Hanover area a wider selection of movies to view in -a given time period," Reichart stressed. While one movie was shown at the former Plaza Theater in one weeks time, now two movies will be offered in the twin theater.

Naturally, Reichart added, if one movie has a particularly strong appeal, it may be held over, but persons who have already seen it will have another choice in the adjacent movie house as soon as the movie being shown there completes its tenure. Local movie lovers will have a greater selection of shows, Reichart said. And if the length of stay for one movie increases, it will give people more opportunities to see it, Reichart stated. Prime contractor for the conversion project was Wilson Bixler, Suburban Contractors, Hanover RD 1, while Lester Berkheimer, Littlestown, handled the electrical work. Schedule for the twin JOHN W.

And instead of showing a single movie in the theater, -two selections will now be offered; one in each portion of the movie house. Each theater will contain approximately 280 seats, Reichart said. Discussion of the conversion began about six months ago, Reichart stated, and he added the final decision to go ahead with the unique project was made FRANCIS E. Reichart noted the only alteration left after Wednesday will be to change the name from Plaza Theater to Plaza I and II. The twin movie house will open with the showing of Dog Day Afternoon, starring A1 Pacino, and Hustle, starring Burt Reynolds. Shop at KLINEDINST REICHART Lumber and Building Materials ard on Mt.
