In cases of Scarlet fever where Isolation has been carried out, contacts may be admitted to school at the end of quarantine. Cktses of Diphtheria require 26 days qlflranlne or 14 days from school, when anti toxin has been used. Cases of Chifcken pox, Measles, German Measles, and Mumps require 21 days quarantine from the date the case is reported to the Board of Health; cpn ftacts not developing these diseases, after 14 days, may by talcing a dls Infecting bath, changing clothing and removing to a house occupied only by adults return to school. Al! secretions from the above cases are contagious, and cloths ortowels used, Ishould be disinfected before washing or burned. Thoso having tonsilitis, itch or other contagious skin diseases, may return, to school, on a certificate of recovery by a physician.

The members of the Ferguson family, of Philadelphia avenue, desire to express through the Gazette their appreciation of much kindness and sympathy extended to them in their recent berijavemrnt, the death of their sister, Miss Miry Ferguson. Edgar Hosier, of Linden street, was pleasantly surprised recently when a number of friends called at his home unexpectedly. Despite his unprepar edness, Mr. if osier proved an entertaining host and the evening passed in a deUghtful Refreshments were served. The annual business meeting of the First Presbyterian Church was held last evening.

The session was largely attended and at the conclusion of business a social session was held, members of the dailies' Aid Society serving refreshments. Thre members of the bourd of trustees, whose terms expired, were re elected. They, were: features which promise excellent entertainment will mark the sessions of tho Demosthienian and PeriiUian Societies of the West Pitts ton High school tomorrow afternoon. The Demosthenian Society will hold a closed session and the Periclian an open meeting. Election of officers will be held.

MEMORIAL BUILDING John S. Jenkins and son, Charles Jenkins and Georgv Phillips, are busily engaged cleaning and beautifying the Jenkins Cemetery, corner of Wyoming avenue and Linden street. The plot of ground known as thie Jenkins' Cemetery is triangular in shape and is onh of the oldest burying grounds in this valley. Arrangements are being made to erect a memorial building on a portion of the plot. According to thie pvans of those who have the proposition under consideration, a drinking fountain will be eercted on thie point, where flowers are planted during the summer months and in the rear of the fountain the building will be erected.

The plans call lor two entrances to 'the structure, one on the Linden street side and the other on Wyoming avenue. Should the plans materialize the building will be of brick and two stories in height. The public library an be located on the lirst floor and the second can be used for meetings of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Pittston Civil War Veterans' Association. It is understood that under certain conditions the htiirs of the Jenkins' estate will grant permission for the building to be erected and that if necessary a few of the graves will be moved.
