The ceremony was read by Rev. Bakker, pastor of the First Reformed church of Sanborn. The bride was attired in a beautiful costume of white satin trimmed with silk net and lace. Ttie groom wore, a suit of dark A wedding 'dinner was given at the home of the brides parents following the ceremony, for relatives of both the bride and groom. Quite a muniber were in attendance.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Solsma residing east of Sheldon. She is. a highly respected yonnglady and is well known as she to womanhood near Sheldon.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs Herman Ver Hoef, residing north of Santoorn. is an industrious anc intelligent youn.g farmer and is well known around Sheldon. They will spend their honeymoon visiting relatives around Boyden and Sanhorn. They' will 'make their home after March 1st on a Sftttbarri, TO THE PTjETC.

45. AN ORraNA'NlCE PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF A BY ABL-E BODIED MALE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN OF BOYDEN, I BETWEEN THE AGES OF 21 AND 4'5. BE IT ORDAINED the Town Council of Boyden, Iowa: Section 1. That all able bodied male residents of the Town of Boyden, Iowa, 'between the ages of Twenty-one and Forty-five years, except active members of the Fire De partment, all persons who.have been active -members and have discharged the duties thereof for the term of ten years, officers and soldiers of the Iowa National Guard and honorably discharged soldiers or sailors of the War with Spain, China Relief Expedition or the Philippine Insurrection, shall be required between 1 the first day of February.and the first day of October of each, year commencing with the year, 1922 to pay in money to the Town Clerk of Boyden, a sum not exceeding-Five Dollars. Section 2.

The Town Council of Boyden, Iowa, shallon or before the first day of February of each year, fix sum, provided in Section One of the Ordinance to be paid, in any" a- m-o'u'nt n-ot exceeding Five Dollars. Section 3. The procedure 'of collection of said sum provided for in this Ordinance shall as fixed Chapter 191 of the' Lows of the 39th General Assembly of Ipwa. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.

An ordinance providing for the collection of poll tax as provided in Chapter 391 Laws of the 39th A. was passed and approved. Poll tax.assessment for year 1922 was set at $.3.0.0 for every male between ages of 21 to 45 years. A petition requesting that the following question be submitted to the voters at the next municipal election -was fil ed: Shall a tax of not exceeding 2 mills be levied each for the purpose of furnishing a band fund as provided in Chapter 37 Law's of the 39th G. A.
