Helen Andes Conologue, CRNA, 86, a longtime resident of Forty Fort, died peacefully in the presence of her loving family Friday, Dec.

18, 2009. Born Aug. 25, 1923, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary McGlynn Andes. Helen was a 1940 graduate of GAR Memorial High School.

Following brief employment by the Kirby Health Center, she continued her education at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, Helen worked at North Country Community Hospital in Glen Cove, NY, where she met the love of her life, Edward. She went on to Pittsburgh, studying to become a nurse anesthetist at St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, and returned to Nesbitt Memorial Hospital in Kingston as one of the first Certified registered nurse anesthetists in the area. She retired in 1987.

Helen was a member of the Parish of St. Ignatius Loyola and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She volunteered her time to Reach for Recovery program of the American Cancer Society Friends, Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m., at the funeral home. PACIOTTI, John Q. Wilkes-Barre.

Rosanne H. Mahler December 18, 2009 Rosanne H. Mahler, 66, of Mountain Top entered into Helen enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling to Hawaii and Disney World. But her true passion was spending time with her family and vacationing in Cape May Point, a tradition she instilled in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her brother, H.

The deadline on Friday, Dec. 25, for publication in Saturday's edition will return to 8:30 p.m. BETTY Mark Olshefski December 18, 2009 Mark Olshefski, 43, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born June 4, 1966 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of Stephen and Dolores Jakubonis Olshefski of Wilkes-Barre.

Mark was a 1986 graduate of GAR Memorial High School and was formerly employed by United Rehabilitation Services in Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, East South Street, Wilkes-Barre. Mark was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Olshefski. Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers, Stephen Olshefski, Phoenix, Richard Olshefski, Sus-con; sister, Joni Olshefski and her husband, Joseph Kaminski, Hanover Township; nieces, Alicia and Samantha Olshefski; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m.

17, 2009, at his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 2, 1942. He was the son of the late Francis and Mary Homan Girvan. He was a captain with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, serving from March 1965 to July 1974.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, the former Shigeko Afuso Girvan, in March 2008. Surviving are daughters, Maria Richards and husband, William III; Michelle Girvan; grandchildren, Alexandra and William IV Richards; sister, Kathryn Beurlen; brothers, Theodore, Edward and Frank Girvan; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at 11:30 a.m., in St. Leo'sHoly Rosary Church, Ashley.

and Genevieve Elias Decker. He was a graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1971, and King's College, Class of 1975, with a degree in sociology and accounting. He was formerly employed by Phillip Morris as a salesman, and started an accounting practice, Victor A. Decker, CPA, which he owned and operated for more than 20 years. He was a faithful parishioner of St.

Anthony's and St. George's Maronite Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, where he served as an usher, lector and member of the finance committee. Victor was a member of George Polansky 87, of Pittston passed away Friday evening, Dec. 18, 2009. Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late George and Olena Polansky He was predeceased by his grandson, Michael Polansky; brothers, John, Vasil and Nick Petkovyat; and sister, Ann.
