This year we have a record enrollment with 312 children having regis- ered. 190 of these are beginners and dvanced beginners (who need the use of the shallow end of the pool) some younger children had to be scheduled for 7:45 classes this year.

Please check your instruction sheet which was handed out with the reg- stration blanks at school in May) for necessary details. All children will get on the buses at the south entrance (note change rom last year) of the Hull Public school. Designation means no bus. The 4th of July was very hot, but all in all the crowd was not what a fellow could call small. The high point was the dunking tank where men, girls and boys took their turn.

The Betterment Committee lunch stand had a fine business for which they wish to thank each and every one for all the donations of food, since it was all going toward one goal our new community building. Some fine ball games were played, morning, afternoon and evening. -They resulted as follows: in the morn ing Hull and Boyden played, and Hull took Boyden 8 to followed by a girls' game when Hospers took Sibley 17 to 5 and Boyden took Sanborn 19 to 5. In the afternoon, Mouw and Den Hartog of Sheldon took Boyden Blue Grass team 11 to 4. In the nals at night, Boyden girls played the Hospers girls, which was a good game and Boyden took Hospers 15 to 12.

The Mouw and Den Hartog team took the Hull All Stars 7 to 1. Jack Ver Steeg of Orange City umpired all of the games. The evening events were closed with a large fire-works display. Shelter House at Hull The shelter house at the Hull park may now Ije reserved for family gatherings or picnics, according to a report of the Park Commissioners and Town Council. A charge of $2.00 is being made to reserve the -building, and details concerning reservation may be obtained at the Town Clerk's office.

Reservation is also to ibe made at the Clerk's office. Two More Wins For Hull Girls! On June 30, the Hull girls traveled to Rock Valley. Here, the girls met a good hitting team. In this game, the girls had balanced hitting, with Jan Brunsting hitting a triple and Vel Cuperus credited with a home run. Shirley Van Engen had five strike outs.

The girls won with the score 13-6. Tuesday night, the girls again met with the Hospers girls. Shirley Van Engen had nine strike outs. The final score was Hull 7, Hospers 3. The next game will be in Hull on Tuesday night (July 19) with Rock Valley.

Game time is 730. Hull School Reunion Was la Great Day For Many Former Students July 2, 1966, was a happy day for many former students of Hull High School when they gathered for a reunion of members of the graduating class of 1891 (the first in the history of the school) to and including the Class of 1931. The day began shortly after 1:00 p.m. when a registration or rather general meeting of schoolmates toot place in the Hull park. There manj Hull High students who had not seen each other for many years, jus plainly became one great "family," visiting and renewing acquaintance and talking about old times.

Following cool, refreshing lemonade and cookies, many toured the school building, and others visited in places and with old friend in town. At six-thirty one hundred sixt; graduates, teachers, classmates an their wives husbands, gather ed at the banquet room in the Hull Community Memorial Building, account was re HULL'S SUMMER SWIM SCHEDULE Leave Hull at 7:30 Swim at 7:45 Bus Wo. 13 Advanced Swimmers (6) Svelyn Evertse Judy Bylsma VTvella Garde Rozi Gorzeman Pat Roetman Rachel Kraai Advanced Beginners (30) Ranae Jansma Brenda Miedema Edwin Westra Jack Kempers De Boer Terry Griend orm De Boer Arlyn Keizer Parian Hulst Larry Keizer Shannon Hulst Laura Visser ora Koele Wesley Kooiker Debra Sipma Allan Bolkema Ida Schaaf David Pluim Aletha Koele Betty Bylsma Sharon Schneider Tim Schepen Peggy Bylsma Karen De Groot Vlarilee Ginkel Barbara Marra Dean Oostra (Brian De Jong Cliff Bonestroo Greg Stouwe Beginners (26) Jansma Jansma Westra Harlan Moss Neleatha Moss Cyn Stouwe Dabra Westphal Gary Anderson Wanda Bomgaars Honald Smit Boyden Pee Wee Baseball Results and Standings Results of the Boyden Pee Wee ibaseball games of the past week are as follows: Yanks 19 Braves 9 Cards 9 Twins 3 Twins 9 Yanks 8 Braves 3 Cards 0 League Standings: Yanks 4 2 Cards 3 3 Twins 3 3 Braves 2 4 Other games Boyden Pee Wees 5 over Ashton Pee Wees 4. The general chairman cannot to express his feelings of gratitude to all of the individuals who helped make the event such a grand occasion, without a feeling of his inadequacy at finding words of thanks. The way all visited with the oldest graduate, Dr. C. L.

Beach, and Mrs. Beach, was indeed a pleasant thing to behold. Individuas and organizations who played a big part in making the reunion such a memoraible occasion, and to whom thanks are extended include: the general reunion committee, the ladies of the Swimming Pool Boosters and young lady waitresses who served the meal; the business men of Hull; the toastmistress, Mrs. Bomgaars, and each and everyone who helped in any way. Thank you.

Just Another Week of Hot, Humid Weather! Again, this week, we must report another seven days ol hot, humid weather. Day after day the thermometer went up to the high 90's and on occasion over the 100 mark. The only relief, if it can be called such, was occasional and very scattered thunderstorms on two separate evenings. It is felt by many that a good general rain is needed soon, or the will really begin to suffer.

LUCKY LASSIES 4-H NEWS The regular meeting of the Lucky Lassies was held June lil at the Janice Boote home. The meeting was opened by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. We then had roll call which was "My Project Plans For The Fair." Next we discussed and decided to go to on an over-night outing. The girls in charge are Rozi, Rachel, Brenda Janice, and Karla. We then discussed our Achievement Show which will toe held the latter part of July.

Mary and Deanna are in charge of the program. Bev. De Jong then gave a demonstration on putting in a zipper after which we all had to put in a zipper. Mrs. Van Roekel gave a demonstration on hidden closings.

Janice and Joyce served a delicious after which the 4-H pledge was said and the meeting adjourned. Reporter: Mary Gorzeman. 7 Hull Boy Scouts Complete Work For Tenderfoot Badge The following Boy Scouts from Hull passed their TenderfooT tests which were given to them Monday evening. The Tenderfoot test is the first part of Boy Scouting. They were David De Boer, Mark DieTEevers, Dennie Durtoand, Wilmer Middendorp, Jim Suckow, Lyle Ten Hakeri, and Jay Visser.

Part of the test includes: describing what Scouting means to them, working with a rope and tie given knots, tell what to do in an emergency, describe the flag and some history, recite the Scout oath, law, motto, slogan and what it means to them. Swim Pool Boosters The Hull Swimming Pool Boosters wish to thank Mayor C. G. Sawyer, Chm. of the recent Hull High School Class Reunion for giving the boosters an opportunity to serve the banquet.

A profit of over $225.00 was realized on this project. The banquet was planned and very well organized by a committee composed of Mrs. Fred Van Schepen Mrs. Henry Blankespoor, Mrs. Alvin Hesla, Mrs.

Marion Kempers, Mrs. Wilbert Kleene and Mrs. Delmar Stange. The delicious food, most of which was donated and prepared in the homes of local residents, was brought to the Community Building where it was served by young ladies of the community under the direction of Mrs, Bob De Jong and Mrs. Virgil Horstman.

Space does not permit listing the names of all of the very willing workers who helped in so many ways but again it has shown what community cooperation can do. Cash contributions were used tcr defray a few minor expenses. Special acknowledgement is due our business men for their continued cooperation. Without the generosity of all four groceries, the bakery, the creamery, the meat market and the drug store this project could not have been such a financial success. Tfaank you for helping us another step 'closer to our goal "Swim in Hull in '66.".
