Teen agers at Napa Admit Killing Inmate Boys Smothered and Sat on Teen ager Until He Was Dead NAPA (LP) Three boy inmates of Napa" State Mental hospital admitted today, they strangled 13 year old boy in his ward bed, deputy sheriff Joe Meyer reported. The boys were 12, and 14 years old. The victim was Robert R. Yarak of San Jose, who was dead Saturday night in a ward housing about 35' boys. The 14 year old boy today admitted he was the instigator of the assault and said he did it because "Bobby reminded me of my father and mother and I hated both of them." Suffocation Caused Death He.

2 Gunmen Rob Sailor, Girl (TUnc CouiUjKcin Senict) DALY CITY, Nov. 21. A sailor and his girlfriend were stopped on Coast highway near Thomson Beach by two gunmen last night and robbed of $45, police reported. Wilburn Bayne; 18, a sailor stationed at Hunters Point, told police he was driving on Highway No. 1 with his companion, Diane Frost, 16, of 41 Mjuirwood drive, when they were flagged down by two youths dressed in dark clothes near the entrance to Thornton Beach.

As Bayne slowed down, one of the young men jumped on the running hoard, shoved a gun through window and commanded, 'Pull on to the beach parking lot," The other jumped on the passenger side running board and displayed a similar weapon. In the parking the first bandit ordered Bayne to throw his wallet on the ground while the other gunman took the girl's purse. Eayne had $45 in his wallet There was no money in the girl's purse. The board hired the industrial engineering firm of Ernst and Ernst to do the survey for S15, 000.

When a request for additional public health nurses was submitted io the board of supervisors, Stallings pointed out that part of the time of the present nursing staff is used in clerical work. The Ernst and Ernst study is going into the field of public health nursing. Nursing Staff Inadequate At present, there is one nurse for each 15,000 population in San Mateo county.

The national average is one per 3000 population. Dr. Chope said an adequate staff for San Mateo county lies somewhere between the two extremes.
