Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1964 4-H Home Ec Results Listed At Monterey County Fair SAUNAS CALIFORNIAN 3 Defendant Is Absolved in Trial on Fraud William C. Deaver, operator of the Prunedale Auto Wreckers, was absolved of financial responsibility Monday afternoon in Superior Court at the conclusion of a $12,700 lawsuit trial. He was the defendant in civil action brought on by Donald R. McFall of San Jose, who alleged he was defrauded by Deaver.

McFall contended Deaver sold him a half-share in the business for $2,200, but defrauded him because he was not sole owner of the business. McFall, represented by a San Jose attorney, was seeking recovery of $2,200, plus $500 for his services and $10,000 for exemplary damages. The judgment, which was rendered by Judge Stanley Lawson, clears Deaver of the allegations. He was represented by attorney Joseph Greco.
