The four players were tackles Henry Schmidt and Bob McCreary, linebacker Jerry Wilson and end Ola Murchison. Schmidt is in his third year of professional football, all with the il'crs. The Southern California university Trinity lineman has been used mostly on the 43crs kickoft and kickolf return teams.

Schmidt was one oF three 4Sers who had not signed their 1961 contracts this wasan The others me R. C. (Oup) Owens and lineman Len Rhode. Rich Morales, win) drove, in five runs apiece. A triple by Joosl and a double by Morales sparked a six hit attack by the AmVels in the big eighth inning.
