Hallows Dies; Wife Of Chief Justice Ozark Strike Talks Are At Standstill Of. Madison Dies At Vue of 73 Mrs. Mary Vivian Hallows, 77, wife of Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice E. Harold Hallows, died today in St.

Marys Hospital after a long COLUMBUS Funeral services for Frank G. Thom, 78, Columbus, who died in a hospital here late Thursday, have been set for Monday. He worked for the Dering Commission Store, Columbus Co-operative Shippers, and Caldwell Lumber Co. before retiring. Harry T.

73, of 540 W. Olin died today at St. Marys Hospital after a long illness. The former Mornelda Johnson was born at Rice Lake in 1899, and had been a Madison resident the past 57 years. Mr.

Olson She had been a wheelchair patient about three years after suffering several strokes. Olaf Olson, Edgerton, Dies Mr. Thom was a native of Beaver Dam. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, She was formerly employed by the Chicago and North Western Railroad and REA Express. She was married in September, 1923.

He was married on June 28, 1922, do Elfrieda Gruenberg. Harry T. Blum. 76. of 2415 Chamberlain owner and operator of Blums Jewelers aind Trophies, 128 State St-, died Friday at his home following an apparent Heart attack.

Blum was a former director, vice president, and president cf the Wisconsin Retail Jewelers Association. Born in Hamburg, Germany, 1897, he had been a Madison resident snice 1929. He was married on Nov. 26, 1922, to Army veteran, and was a mem Aimee R. Greenfield.

Mr. Blum was a World War 1 ber of American Legion Post No. 57 here. Mrs. Hallows maiden name was Hurley and she was born on a farm near Chilton.

She met her husband while both were students at Marquette University. Funeral arrangements were to be made at the Joyce Funeral Home, 5701 Odana Rd. here. EDGERTON Olaf J. Olson.

81, Edgerton, a retired Town of Porter farmer, who had lived 10 years, 1945-55, in Madison before coming to Edgerton, died Friday night in Memorial Community Hospital here after a brief illness. Mrs. Kleinheinz was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge Auxiliary. Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Donald, 907 Valley Stream Madison; a sister, Mrs. Dora Rahn, Beaver Dam; a brother, William, West Hollywood, and two grandsons.

ST. LOUIS w) Negotiations have come to a halt in the strike by aircraft mechanics against Ozark Air Lines. A spokesman for the 560-member Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association said Friday night the had received no reply to telegrams offering to resume negotiations. Charles Ehlert, a spokesman for the St. Louis-based air carrier, offered a no comment Friday night when asked if Ozark would again begin negotiations.

Flights connecting 62 cities in 15 states were stopped Thursday night when the mechanics began their walkout- for higher wages and pickets were set up in 10 cities where mechanics are employed. The carrier had expected 20,000 passengers over the Easter weekend. About 500 passengers a month are served by four daily flights at Madison. Some 1,300 employes have been made idle by the strike which began after unproductive negotiations covering a 13-month period. The unioh has been working under the old contract since it expired in March, 1972.

20, 1973) about three hours after he was found semi-conscious from an apparent fall while operating a fork-lift at the Leo Meudt Distributors beer warehouse, 901 Jonathan Dr. Deputy Coroner Richard R. Peterson said cause of the death would be determined today after an autopsy. Fellow workmen found Mr. Meudt injured and he was conveyed by fire ambulance to a hospital, where it was reported he had head and chest injuries.

Mr. Meudt. a Ridgeway farmer until 20 years ago, worked for the, Royster Co. fertilizer plant, 902 Dempsey until his retirement six years ago. Then he started part-time work at the Hamms and Huber beer warehouse.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; a son, John, 2347 Allied three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Heibel, Dodgeville; Mrs. James Endres, Waunakee; and Mrs. Donald Larson, 2233 Keyes eight grandchildren; two brothers, Leo, 482 S. Midvale and Frank, Dodgeville; and a sister, Teresa Meudt, 401 S.

Midvale Blvd. Another son, Wendell (Toby), was killed in a 1951 traffic accident. Friends may call at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr. here, after 4 p.m. Sunday.

The rosary will be recited there at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral rites will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Dennis Catholic Church, with the Rev.

Wrol-stad, Appleton; one brother, John Olson, Town of Albion; four sisters, Mrs. Thorvald Nor-deng, Madison; Mrs. Wesley Hanson, Stoughton; Mrs. Harvey Larson, Whitewater, and Mrs. Ruthford Bussey, Edgerton, and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Ell-ingson Funeral Home, Edgerton, on Sunday from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family said memorials may be made to Central Lutheran Church here. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the church, with the Rev. Bill Redman officiating.

Burial will be in Edgertons Jenson Cemetery. a son, Ben T. Blum, 2121 Iris Lane here, and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the FraU-schi Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd. here, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Mr. Higgins was married on Sept. 3, 1930, to Irma M. Allen. He was a member of the Fulton Congregational Church.

Walter J. Janus, 51, Chicago, Dorothy Zadny, 54, Wisconsin Dells, and Linn Marie Storey, 11, Wisconsin Dells, were found this morning about 9 in Mrs. Zadnys home by her daughter, Mrs. Janice Storey. Mrs.

Storey is also the mother of Linn Marie. The carbon monoxide appear to be due to defective chimney ventilation in the house. Fire Chief Hans Mickelsen estimated the three had been dead for about nine hours before they were discovered. The bodies were taken to the Fedderly Funeral Home. Here. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel. The Joyce Funeral Home, 5701 Odana Rd. is in charge of the one sister, Mrs.

Sadie Johnson Dies Mrs. Emma Kivlahan CUBA CITY Mrs. Emma A. Kivlahan, 83, died Wednesday (Apr. 18, 1973) in a Madison hospital after a long illness.

The former Emma Hoppenjan and William A. Kivlahan were married many years ago. Her husband died in 1967. Mrs. Kivlahan was a member of the St.

Rose Catholic Church, and its Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. Surviving in Madison are a son, Francis; and a sister, Mrs. William Flynn, 4022 Birch Ave. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frank Coyle, LaJolla.

Mrs. Hubert Platz, Elm Grove; and Mrs. William Gebhart, Grayslake, another son, M. William. Arlington Heights, a brother, Frank, Cuba City; and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 9 a.m. today in the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. MT. HOREB Mrs.

Gay Gesme, 77, Greendale, formerly of Mt. Horeb, died Thursday (Apr. 19, 1973) at the home of her a in Davenport, Iowa, after a long illness. The former Mae Thompson was born in Mt. Horeb and was married to Gay Gesme in 1919.

They lived in Madison for many years. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Foley, Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Lisle Allen, Greendale; a sister, Mrs. Oscar A.

Jacobson, Rt. 1, Verona; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ellestad Funeral Home here. The family suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society. William F. Koss, 73, of 1225 E.

Gorham died Thursday (Apr. 19, 1973) in a hospital after a brief illness. Born in Crawford County, he farmed for many years in the Boscobel area before retiring and moving to Madison several years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Reis, 130 Dempsey and Mrs.

Thomas Schmitz, 805 Redland a brother George, Boscobel; three sisters, Mrs. Rex Streeter, Viroqua; Mrs. Agnes Brechler, Fenni-more; and Mrs. Mary ODonnell, Boscobel; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m Monday in the Immaculate Conception Church, Boscobel.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at the Thoni-Kendall Funeral Home, Boscobel, where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. DE FOREST Mrs. Sadie B. Johnson, 78, Rt.

1, DeForest. Friday (Apr. 20, 1973) at Lome after an illness. A lifelong area resident, she was the former Sadie Daley. Her husband, Charles Johnson, died in 1962.

She was a member of the Norway Grove Memorial Lutheran Church here. Surviving in Madison are two sisters. Ruth Daley, 133 N. Franklin and Mrs. Fred Jordan, 1006 Mohican Pass.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carol Goth, RL 1, DeForest; another sister, Mrs. E. A. Davis, Stables, Minn.

and five grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the church. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Edwardson Funeral Home.
