First, they had to pass the Reading Phillies in the last week of the season just to make the playoffs. Then once there, they fell behind Akron 0-2 before rallying to win three straight games to advance to the Eastern League championship series. And theyll have to do it again. Harrisburg dropped a 13-4 decision to Norwich last night in the final game to be played this season at RiverSide Stadium.

And with the victory, the Navigators return home for the remaining games in the best-of-five series holding a 2-0 lead. David Parrish drove in four runs, three on a bases-loaded triple, to lead the Norwich 19-hit attack against four Harrisburg pitchers. Three of the hits were home runs. Albenis Machado gave the Senators a brief lead when he slammed a one-out home run in the first. The Navigators rebounded with a pair in the top of the second on three hits.

At the same time, Lancaster Catholic was upsetting Lancaster Mennonite 2-1, handing the Blazers their first loss in section play. Elco and Mennonite played to a 2-2 draw on Monday. Thanks to the upset win, Lancaster Catholic moved into a tie with Pequea Valley, a 1-0 winner in overtime over Donegal yesterday, for second place while Mennonite slipped to fourth. Northern Lebanon rolled to an 8-1 victory over Lebanon Catholic in the remaining Section Three game yesterday to relegate the Beavers to sole possession of last place.
