Farm Reporter News Farm Roundup Garden Gate By STEVEN H. SCHHEUER NEW YORK The most fun Ive ever had on TV, luscious Micki Mario told me, was when I was a regular on Tonight. Mickis back with Tonight on a temporary basis now and youll get a chance to see her, looking more beautiful than ever, Mondays and Tuesdays until fall when her night-club bookings resume. When she was on the Tonight show, she remained with it for five months and appeared -to be a permanent addition.

I asked her why she left. All of a sudden, I had a hot she told me. So I left the show to plug it and do night club engagements. Night clubs, thats where the big money is. Now, am I glad to be back on TV! Say, she said, smiling at me with the warmth that only a beautiful girl with something on her mind can generate, Id like to do Steve Allens Sunday night show, too.

I wonder if its possible. Now look, Steve Allen! I promised Micki Mario that Id fix it up for her to be on your Sunday night show, so how about it? She sings. She acts well, anyway she does comedy routines and even worked with the Ritz Brothers. And, honestly, Steve, she isnt hard to look at. On TV, that alone isnt so bad.

The Alcoa Hour, heretofore a Following are television program best bets as previewed by TV Keys staff of experts in New York and Hollywood: TOiYlGIIT 7:30 P.M. (CHANNELS 2, 7, 19, 27) PLAYHOUSE OF STARS. Repercussion. A formula cops-and-robbers tale, aided immensely by Dan Duryea as a gang-busting newspaperman. Dans got a problem when he discovers his loving wife was once in a big gambling syndicate.

O.K. melodrama. 7:30 P.M. (CHANNELS 4, 11). STAR STAGE.

The Sainted General. Character actor Luther Adler turns in another good performance, this time as a vindictive South American revolutionary. The townspeople consider him a great man, but his long suffering wife knows what a tyrant the general really is. Yvonne de Carlo is as fetching as ever in the femme lead. Thin story, helped by good acting.

SATURDAY 8 P.M. (CHANNELS 4, 11. 33) TONY BENNETT SHOW. A breezy musical entry, as Tony takes over for five weeks until Perrys return. Tonight hes got Ben Blue, June Valli and George Superman Reeves along to help lighten the load.

Balladeer Bennett kicks off with his version of Happiness Street, joins June Valli for a duet later on, and, time permitting, winds up with a medley including Without A Song. Summer fun. 8 P.M. (CHANNELS 2, 6, 7, 19, 27) GUNSMOKE. These shows are getting rougher and more intense.

Tonight a band of outlaws gangs up on an old prospector to swipe his hidden gold. Royal Dano gets your sympathy as the old fellow, and the desperados are just as mean as they can be. A good one. 8:30 P.M. (CHANNELS 11, 33) ADVENTURE THEATER.

Fal staffs Fur Coat. H. Marion Crawford, whom ypu may recognize as Dr. Watson of the Sherlock Holmes TVer, gives tonights melodrama a lift. He portrays a hammy, egotistical Shakespearean actor' whose one ambition is to own a fur coat.

His dream comes true, with near fatal results. Crawford's flamboyant performance makes this one fun. For those of you who missed the play, missed the movie when it made the rounds, missed the movie when it was released to TV, missed the TV series called Meet Corliss Archer, and missed Meet Corliss Archer when it was repeated, Alcoa presented an original TV adaptation of hold on to your hat Kiss And Tell.
