Eader May 7, 1913 April 22, 1994 Velma M. Eader, 84, residing on Tanglewood Trace, Mishawaka, passed away at 12:57 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, Ind. Mrs.

Eader was bom on May 7, 1913, In Chalmers, to the late William and Rhoda (Townsley) McCallister, and had been a lifelong resident of this community. She was married to John Arthur Miller, and later to William Eader, who both preceded her In death. She was also preceded In death by a son, John McCallister in March 1966; and by three sisters and three brothers, Lillian, Olive, Emily, Frank, Jim and Charles. Mrs. Eader previously was employed by Robertson's Department Store as a beauty operator and the Bungalow Pie Shop, both in South Bend.

She was then employed as a nurses aide at St. Joseph's Hospital in South Bend while she attended Ivy Tech to receive her degree as a licensed practical nurse. After graduation, she was employed at St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, and the former Essex Nursing Home, South Bend, and retired from South Bend's Osteopathic Hospital. She entered into private duty nursing following retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Reppert of Mishawaka and Carol Greenlee of Vicksburg, a son, Jim Miller of Lakeville, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gwen Banacka of Mishawaka; and by two brothers, Paul McCallister and Fred McCallister, both of Florida. Services for Mrs. Eader will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev.

Clyde Trumbauer of the Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 24, in the Palmer Funeral Home, and from two hours prior to services on Saturday.

Lacopo, Sr. Jan. 5. 1920 -April 19, 1998 Dean W. Lacopo, 78, residing on Currant Road, Mishawaka, passed away at 7:34 a.m.

on Sunday, April 19, In the Cardinal Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind. Mr. Lacopo was born on Jan. 5, 1920, in South Bend, to the late Dominick and Marie (Warner) Lacopo, and had remained a lifelong resident of this community. Dean was a World War II Army veteran and received the Purple Heart.

He was also preceded in death by three sons, Dominic Dean in 1940, John James in 1941 and Tony Lacopo in 1977; a sister, Elizabeth Lacopo in 1926; and by a brother, Dominic Lacopo in 1942. On Feb. 3, 1938, in South Bend, he married Marie Ruthsatz, who now lives in Newburg, Ore. Mr. Lacopo was a shoemaker and repainnan at Alexa's Shoe Hospital, where he retired in 1986.

He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Singleton of South Bend; two sons, Thomas Lacopo of South Bend and Dean Lacopo, of Colorado Springs, nine grandchildren, Jane Marie Dukes of Glen Ellyn, Sally Ann Fricke of Napierville, Dominic Anthony Lacopo of Fairfield, Ohio, William V. Singleton of South Bend, Carol Yvonne McCaffery of South Bend, Emily Reyes of Columbia, Anthony Raymond Lacopo of Madison, Michael Dean Lacopo of Granger, and Gregory Alan Lacopo of Osceola, one stepgranddaughter, Erin Sukup; three great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; and by five sisters, Frances Tucker and Josephine Ketner, both of Mishawaka, Katherine Stopper and Anna Haringer, both of South Bend, and Mary Hinsey of Niles, Mich. Services for Mr. Lacopo were at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend.

Rev. Don Francis officiated. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Palmer Funeral Home.

Mist Janice M. Kelley Sept. 22, 1929 April 21. 1998 Miss Janice M. Kelley, 68, of 58 Grand Avenue, Niles, died following an extended illness at 3 a.m.

on Tuesday, April 21, at Silverbrook Manor, Niles. Miss Kelley was bom on Sept. 22, 1929, at Niles, to Harry and Ada (Eldred) Kelley, and had lived in Niles most of her life. She graduated from Niles High School and attended Park College, Parkville, Mo. She retired from the former Michigan Employment Security Commission (now the Michigan Unemployment Agency), and had also been employed at the Niles Daily Star and Wesley United Methodist Church in Niles.

Miss Kelley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Niles and was active in its Good Grief Support Group. She had volunteered with the Pawating Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of Niles Chapter 332, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Spurting of Onalaska, Texas; and by four nephews, John Bowman of Niles, Michael Spurting of Rolling Prairie, Tom Spurting of Fort Wayne, and Randy Spurting of Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Bowman, who died in 1989; and by her brother, the Rev. G.

Eldred Kelley, who died in 1997. Funeral services for Janice M. Kelley will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, at the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Mr. John Thompson of the First Presbyterian Church of Niles officiating.

Interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Halbritter Funeral Home. Contributions in memory of Miss Kelley may be made to The Foundation of the First Presbyterian Church in Niles. Velma M.

Kerestury Oct. 5, 1911April21, 1998 SOUTH BEND Catherine C. Kerestury, 86, of Fountainview Place, died Tuesday in Fountain-view Place. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Rosenberg Jan. 15, 1922 -April 21, 1998 SOUTH BEND Irene Vernon Rosenberg, 76, of Jackson Road, South Bend, formerly of Filbert Road, Granger, passed away after an illness at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 21, in her residence.

Mrs. Rosenberg was bom on Jan. 15, 1922, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Julius and Helen (Audenaert) Vergauwen. In 1939 she graduated from Mishawaka High School and moved to New York City where she danced for the Latin Quarter Night Club for seven years. Moving to Los Angeles, in 1950, Mrs.

Rosenberg was employed by Metro Goldwyn Mayer and starred alongside Lloyd Bridges in the movie, The Sound of Fury. She also played a supporting role as Louise Tate on the hit 60s TV show Bewitched. Following her successful career in the entertainment industry, Mrs. Rosenberg became a self-employed real estate broker in Beverly Hills, Calif. From Los Angeles she moved to Miami Beach, in 1990.

It was in Miami Beach on March 26, 1993, as Irene Vergauwen, that she married Emanuel Rosenberg, who preceded her in death- on Oct. 28, 1997. In 1997 she moved back to her hometown in the Michiana area. Mrs. Rosenberg was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Charles Vergauwen.

She is survived by two sisters, Georgine Winther of Sacramento, and Helene Slattery of San Fernando Valley, and by a brother, Charles Vergauwen and his wife Linda of Granger, Ind. Funeral services for Mrs. Rosenberg will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 24, in the Hahn Funeral Home, with Rev. James Shafer officiating.

"May Angela Sing Thee To Thy Rest INDIANA-ftllCHIGAN DEATH NOTICES Mildred K. Hambidge Oct. 12, 1916 -April 20, 1998 SOUTH BEND Mildred K. Hambidge, 81, of Churchill Drive, died at 9:34 p.m. on Monday, April 20, in St.

Joseph Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 12, 1916, in Benton County, Ind. On June 13, 1939, in Lafayette, as Mildred Dahl-quist, she married Theron Tom Hambidge, who died on Oct. 16, 1993.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Joe in 1993. Mildred taught elementary school in Lafayette for many years and was a substitute teacher after coming to South Bend, Ind. She graduated from Indiana Central University in 1936, and was a former member of The People's Church. She is survived by a daughter, Gayle Hambidge of Mishawaka, a son, C. Max Hambidge of Cranston, R.I.; three beloved grandchildren, Michelle, Eric and Kevin; a great-grandson, Austin; and by a sister, Ann Hull of Lafayette.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, and interment will follow in Montmorenci Cemetery, Montmor-enci, Ind. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.

She had celebrated her 85th birthday on Christmas. The oldest child of John W. Schindler and Ola Buchheit Schindler, she is survived by a son, Thomas W. Kenyon of Sarasota; a daughter, Catherine B. Dotson of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Louise Margaret Grimm and Helen Elizabeth Phelan; and by her brother, John Schindler, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Kenyon; and by her son, Richard B. Kenyon. Mrs. Kenyon was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and of the University of Illinois.

She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa for 60 years. Robert Lee Roseman. Jr. July 22, 1954 -April 16, 1998 SOUTH BEND Mr. Robert Lee Roseman, 43, was bom to the late Robert Roseman, and Arlene Roseman in South Bend, on July 22, 1954.

He passed away on Thursday, April 16, at St. Claire Hospital in Lake-wood, Wash. Robert moved to Tacoma, in 1989 and attended Our Lady Holy Rosary Church. He was a physical education elementary teacher at Thompson Elementary School in Spanaway, Wash. Robert was very involved in the community and school.

He devoted a lot of his time to the youth, and provided guidance and counseling which was his calling in life. Robert was a loving person and had a genuine concern for people. He was always striving to make himself and those around him better. Robert started the Unicycle Club at Thompson Elementary in 1995, served on the board of the Metro-Park Special Population Advisory Board, coached Special Olympics in South Bend, was a member of Washington and Indiana Officials Association, and was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Robert graduated from Indiana University in 1985 and received his Master's degree in 1993 from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Arlene; three brothers, James (Bettye) of Matteson, Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael of South Bend; a sister, Barbara of South Bend; a special friend, Karen LeBeau; two nephews and two nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, friends and loved ones. Bain, 78, of 404 Fox died Wednesday in Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home. Benjamin Henry Trice, 70, who resided at East Monroe Street, South Bend, passed from this life after an extended illness on Tuesday, April 21, at Hospice House of St. Joseph County. On Oct. 26, 1927, in Sodus, he was bom to the union of Katherine (Wade) Trice and Benjamin Henry Trice, who both preceded him in death. Mr.

Trice retired as a laborer from Real Services in 1996. He leaves to mourn his loss two grandchildren; two sisters, Maria Brown and Lovie McNary; a brother, Warren Trice; a niece, Pastor Shirley Elzey; two nephews, Jimmy Poindexter, all of South Bend, and Veil Lee Simmons of Gary, along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at Alfords Mortuary. Friends may visit one hour prior to services at the chapel.

Kerestury, 86, of Fountainview Place, died at 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, in her residence. She was bom on Oct. 5, 1911, in South Bend, Ind. Catherine was married on Nov.

27, 1946, in South to Charles Kerestury, who preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1967. She is survived by a niece, Bonnie A. Stromm of Oak Park, and by a nephew, Lawrence D. Stromm of Palestine, III.

Catherine retired in 1974 from Bendix Energy Controls after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Valley Chapter No. 594 O.E.S., and was a member of the Bendix Retired Salaried Womens Club. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N.

William Street. Ruth B. Harvel Oct. 28, 1909 April 22, 1998 Ruth B. Harvel, 88, of 15396 Cleveland Road, Galien, died at 1:30 a.m.

on Wednesday, April 22, at the Lakeland Medical Center, Niles, Mich. Ruth was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Buchanan Moose Lodge and The Home Extension Club. She was a bus driver for Michigan Center, Michigan School System, and was a custodian there for 10 years. Ruth was bom on Oct. 28, 1909, in New Troy, and had lived the past 30 years in Buchanan, Mich.

In 1927, in Michigan, Ruth married James Michael Harvel, who preceded her in death. Ruth.
