Atty. Charles H. Cashin an- 1 UU111' nounecd. The complaints had been regis-terel at Cashins office, where they had been filed pending arrival of the examiners. About 30 of the complaints concerning homes on Coolidge and Myrtle sts.

were checked by representatives of the Federal Housing administration this spring, following a hearing conducted by the U. S. attorney. As a result of these checks, alleged defects in many of the homes in the housing project were corrected. Examiners who arrived here Tuesday are W.

J. Steichen and Mr. Bowers. Cashin said they will check plans and specifications for the houses about which complaints have been made and seek to have any defects corrected. In cases where contractors refuse to make corrections, Cashin said the examiners will make a report to the Chicago office, which in turn will refer the matter to Casi.ins office for court action.
