BOYDEN REPORTER Sioux County Court News EARLY DAY DIVORCE -AND 8477 CIVIL ACTIONS SINCE 1871 Examination lor Applicants To Citi aenship at. Orange City, June 22-- Hearing'on September First --Court Cases. W. H. Curley obtained judgment against Sioux county, Iowa on a negotiable order issued by the Board Supervisors, in the sum of $2529, 67, Sioux county having money available bonds were issued to take np the judgment.

Thos. J. Stone obtained judgment against Sioux county for $27.50 on a negotiable order, the. case was tried before the judge without intervention of jury. Leightou Wynn obtained judgment against Sioux county on a similar order for Wm.

J. Runyon and Alfred Heald were admitted to the practice of law. Kiiute Jacobseii, Qle Anders Finkelson, all natives of Norway, were examined oii application and admitted to citizenship. John- D. "Sorg, A.

Granger, all good and lawful appeared as venire of the grand jury, John Runyah and Ira Ellis were called to fill the panel. Early Day Divorce. Mary 0. Jeffers made application for divorce from John Jeffers "not thorugh fear or out of levity, but in sincerity and truth" accusing him that he "did in a willful and vicioun manner choke and abuse her with out any just cause." Since that time to date 8477 civil actions been, commenced in Sioux county, 1457 of them within the past five years; 1080 criminal cases, 134 of -them in the past five years; 2901 probate cases, 537 'with in the past five years.

Of these 537, 20 of them were found subject to an inheritance and a inheritance, paid during that time on these estates of $10,086.55. The highest single estate was $2022.43 and the lowest $12.70. A. J. Hadd alleges that Arthur Haider owes him $2409.37 on note dated at Fail-view, S.
