The scholarships represent the club's effort to recognize the graduates of local high schools who demonstrate ambition and purpose.

Nowell. Fair Haven, was one of three recipients of the BrothcrhoodSis-terhood Award of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Central New Jersey Chapter. Simpson, a student at Monmouth Regional High School, was one of 147 New Jersey high school seniors selected as recipients of Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarships. Winners were selected on the basis of their college entrance examination scores, class rank and other factors.

Mrs. Roy Little Silver, has been reelected for a second term of office as chairman of the Evening Membership Department of the Woman's Club of Little Silver. Also elected were Mrs. William Koch. Little Silver, first vice chairman; Mrs.

Michael Sabia. Red Bank, second vice chairman; Mrs. George Sant, Little Silver, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Andrew La Stella. Little Silver, recording secretary; and Mrs.

H. McGrail. Little Silver, financial secretary. Christian Burns, a student at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, and Laura Wickbcrg. a student at Monmouth Regional High School, were honored as two of 100 outstanding high school seniors who plan to become New Jersey public school educators through the Governor's Teaching Scholars program.
