tKfc 'm BAN MA7E TIMES AND DAILV NEWS LEADER Fun On the Mystery Screen Bat, Everybody in Television land is talking about what might well be one of the "sleeper" shows of the new television season. "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." which in case you wonder has nothing to do with your mother's brother, but is the short name for the "United Network Command for Law and Enforcement." What will make this show so popular, we think, is that it is very much in the same mold as the James Bond stories which fill theatres all over the country. According to my informants in Hollywood it will be filled, to the brim, with excitement, adventure, suspense and lots of humor. Robert Vaughn, who some like to compare to Gary Grant, stars as the "Man From U.N.C.L.E." plays hia role in a sophisticated manner. The villians in this series will all I i U.N.C.L.E.

BEAUTY Lovely May Heothcrly, 22 year old Hollywood born access, will be seen fn a regular role as member of the U.N.C.L.E. staff in the new Chevrolet sponsored action series, "The Mart from U.N.C.L.E,," which premieres on Tuesday, September 22, 8:30 9:30 p.m. (ET), on NBC TV. Robert Vaughn stars. sounds like fun.

Imagination will run throughout with nothing impossible. Others in the cast include old pro, Leo G. Carroll, lovely May Heath erly, 22, and David McCullum. This obviously will be a joint effort with agents from all countries trying to stop 'Thrush. be members of "Thrush," a worldwide group of evil doers who have guns for hire.

Vaughn's assignments may range from stopping Thrush from firing a deadly missle from the U. S. into friendly Canada, or discovering. why a tractor ordered by a Siberian farmer turns out to be a walking mechanical monster Oh boy, this.
