Beloved wife of 63 years to James. Loving mother of Douglas (Shelley), Michael, Thomas (Nadeem). Dearest sister of Marilyn, Bill, Sue and the late Doug and Ken. Elaine will be missed by her grandchildren, Natalie, Kelsey, Jeremy and Jamie.

She was the proud great-grandmother of Lauren, Kayleigh, Teagan, Gavin, James and Avery. Carol is survived by (and mostly put up with) her four amazing kids: Ian (Veronica Farmer), Jean (Mike Beun) John, and Mary (Geordie Carruthers). She left a trail of mints for her grandchildren; Patrick, Caroline, Jessie, Greer, and Griffin, and was proud to call Suzo Hickey (Emma Kivisild) her West Coast daughter. Carol was predeceased by her husband Charles Lynch, parents Sydney and Edith Dion, brother Pierre Dion (Inger) sister Suzanne Kenny (Charlie), and by Jack Spicer, father to the amazing kids. Mum was always up for a good laugh and a pint, and would tell anyone who slowed down long enough that every single day after age 63 was a gift. Born in la Ville de Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Henri Pouliot and the former Marguerite Ruel. Lucille was married in Quebec City to her career soldier Stanley Hibben Welsh in 1954, and cared for her family through many postings in Canada and Germany. She is survived by her husband Stanley, and their children, Patricia, Michael (Patricia), and Doris (Pierre Garneau). Cherished grandmother to Adam (Ashley) and Sarah (Marc); Alison(Brad), Emma-Leigh (Blaise) and Rosaly Welsh (Justin); Nicolas (Eliane) and Shanna Garneau (Chad), and great-grandmother of Taylor, Isaac and Alice. Predeceased by her siblings; Cecile-Jeannine, Jean-Louis, Louisette (the late Laurent Blouin), Denise (the late Roger Legare), Frangoise, Raymond (the late Therese), and Jeannine (Robert Begin).
