Their score of 165S will be the target tor many bowlers during the coming weeks as they compete for the S7d0 first prize. Don Scott also took the first weekly prize in the Optional Singles feature with a 634 total including handicap. The tournament continues until March 29 with over in guaranteed prizes. Special squads are scheduled for March 3 and 4 at a p.m. Jaanita Borrcani led the Starliters with a 190 game and 495 series closelv followed by Dolores Langford with 171 and 482.

Vince Ferrigno continues to pound the pins with regularity. His latsst effort was a big 264 game and 579 series in the Blue Monday Scratch League. Another high roller was Rich Kirvin with a 231 game and 587 series. There were three top shooters in the 815 Scratch League, Em Quinn 214 586, Bill Lee 208 587. and Dick Birkett 202 G54.

This is San Francisco City Tournament week at Westlake as over 2.000 bowlers compete in the Twenty ninth Annual San Francisco Eowling Association championships. The team event which is held at Westlake will feature many of the better bowlers nf the Bay Area. Spectators are welcome, with squads scheduled at 6:45 and 9:30 nightly to Friday, 4, 6:4.5 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:15 and 4 p.m. Sunday.

NATIVE SONS bowler of the week was Don Warner with 203 and 540. Bob Bi'lluomini rolled a 212 game and 506 scries to lead the Country Club Handicap as Babe Lazzair took second spot with 196 and 531. Barbara Kokolis took both high game and high series in the YVVCA League with 166 and 450. Gail Hultgrcn missed the 500 mark by one pin as she led the ladies in the Southgate Mixed Fives with 187499, Wally Stratford topped the men with a IB!) game and 523 series.
