The "Stowaway" Was Witnessed by a Large Audience. A crowded honae Tuesd.iy evening wftnesssed the production of the "Stowaway" by the Elleford Company. It was a very clever production, but in literary and dramatic merit hardly up to the standard of "Lost Paradise." The plot of the play is good, but the dialogue is not eo bright. The a a waa well set. The burglary in the third act was a good piece of work and the blowing up of the safe was artistically done.

In the fourth act the yachting scene won deserved applause. The costumes were very pretty, the yacht natural and the illusion, considering the size of the stage and the facilities, was splendid. Miss Norton eani; some catchy songs ami received generous applause. She is a very warm favorite, especially with the gallery node. She made the most of Chucky.

W. J. Elleford personated Dicky Dials in an admirable a Francis Yale seems to be cast for the villain's part in ail the repertoire of the company. He is very conscientious and painstaking in his work. Mr.

Corrigan assumed the role of an English cockney and sustained the character well. Miss Elliott personated Florence Etherington in a very satisfactory manner. The support of the Misses Maitland, E. J. Blunkall and others of the company was good.

This evening the bill will be Mrs. and Her son Ike." Miss Norton will play the role ot Ike and Mr. Elleford will personate Mrs. Partington. Thoae who enjoy a hearty laugh should not fail to see the performance this evening.
