Parkway Changes Scholarships Are Given To Afro-Ballet Ensemble Mutual Savings Banks', the board of directors of the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and the United Fund of Bloomfield and the Bloomfield Rotary Club. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Rochester, earned an L.L.B. from the Yale University Law School and completed graduate work toward his Ph.D. as a Graduate Fellow at the Maxwell Graduate School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University.

II iiiill The Garden State Parkway's southbound Exit 96, which is on the left-hand side of the road, and southbound Exit 97 were closed permanently on Monday. They were replaced with the new right-hand toll outlet designated as Exit 98. Changes were announced by Commissioner Harry D. Sussna of the New Jersey Highway Authority, which operates the Parkway. He said that simultaneously with the changes for southbound traffic, the northbound loop ramp from the collector feeder road to Route 38 westbound was reopened, and vehicles entering the Parkway northbound were routed through the new toll plaza.

Passenger car tolls of 15 cents went into effect at the southbound exit and the northbound entrance. The changes completed the revisions involving Interchange 98, designated as Belmar-Wall. This newly built interchange, replacing the former Exits 96, 97 and interest, and to act as a useful demonstration for libraries throughout the state and the nation. The concept of a library acting as a catalyst to develop a ballet troupe was previously untried in this country. The Ensemble has appeared at the Newark Museum, the Montclair State College Spring Dance Festival, the Grand Concourse Hotel, the New Jersey Library Association Annual Spring Conference, Overbrook Hospital, the Clinton Correctional Center for Women, the N.A.A.C.P.

Annual Award Dinner, the Chad School, Newark, the Essex County Correctional Center, the Willowbrook Mall "Spring Thing" presented by the Montclair Public and Wayne Public Libraries, and on several occasions at the Montclair Public Library. The Afro Ballet Ensemble of the Montclair Public Library, directed by Ms. Paula Yaa Johnson, was informed this week that its members have received full scholarships to study classical ballet and modern jazz at the school of the Garden State Ballet and partial scholarships to study modern dance at the Caldwell Center of Community and Continuing Education Center. This will enlarge the repertoire of the ensemble to other than traditional Afro-Ballet numbers. The Ensemble was initiated with an incentive grant from the New Jersey State Department of Education, Library Development Bureau to bring additional cultural outlets to the young people of Montclair, to provide the community of Montclair with original programs of rheTOJTH rharHCPIlS Feely Elected James K.

Feely has been elected president of the Savings Banks' Association of New Jersey. Mr. Feely is president of the Bloomfield Savings Bank. The association he now heads represents the twenty mutual savings banks with 98 offices in the State of New Jersey. Speaking at the association's 66th annual conference, the new president predicted a "major period of growth" for savings banks and their depositors.

"This past decade has seen an exciting growth for New Jersey's savings banks," Mr. Feely said. "The number of people using our services has increased at an average rate of 1,000 a week. Our association members now list assets of more than $5 billion. "Now, with legislation allowing us to open new offices for our customers' convenience and liberalizing home improvement and mortgage loans, the year ahead offers even brighter prospects for our depositors." Mr.

During Mont-clair's first public school "Summersession" youngsters living in Montclair may participate in the Nishuane Gymnastics program at Nishuane School. Students between the ages of 6 and 14 are encouraged to register for the tuition-free course as soon as possible. Mr. Gentle, with the cooperation of Dr. Joseph Toth, a professor at Montclair State College, and several of his students will act as instructors for the program.

Aside from floor exercise, students will have the opportunity to learn routines on balance beam, parallel bars, uneven parallel bars, high bar, rings and other apparatus. At the conclusion of the "Summersession" the apparatus will remain at Nishuane School which in turn will become something of elementary gymnastics center for the entire school district. COOL ALL OVER! 97A, was designed to eliminate the left-hand Exit 96, replace it with the safer right-hand outlet, facilitate traffic movements to and from Routes 34 and 38 and otherwise ease the flow of traffic in that area. The northboundsideof the new interchange was opened last May. At that time the northbound Exits 97 and 97A were closed.

Interchange 98 is one phase of a $153,000,000 improvement and expansion program which is in its final stages of construction on the Parkway south of the Raritan River. Southbound Exit 105 on the Garden State Parkway was switched from the left to the right side of the road yesterday. Interchange 105 serves the Eatontown-Long Branch area. With the closing of the left-hand ramp, work will continue on the construction of new inner roadways which will expand the Authority-operated Parkway from six to ten lanes in that area. The inner roadways in the vicinity are scheduled to be completed Aug.
