He's now playing professional basketball in Athens, Greece, for the Panathinaikos team. As of the middle of December, according to a letter received on Dec. 26 by his mother. Nelson's team Vas tied for first place with Aries with an 8-2 league record. Panathinaikos was 9-3 overall.

The Mounties, under Coach Donna Aulisi. finished with a 13-1 record, won the North Jersey Section 2 championship. for the second time and placed sixth in the state championship meet. Honor For 'Blaze' Carol Blazejowski. the nation's top female basketball player and three-time All-American while at Montelair State, will be honored oh Jan.

Owen Ward, goalie for the Pengutas, stopped 37 of the 40 shots on goal. Those that went in were scored by Mike Reece and Bill Wing (2) on assists from Peter Walls and Patrick St. Pierre. In a tight defensive game the Flyers edged the North Stars, 1-0. The Flyer goal came from Mark Iovine assisted by Mike Rubacky.

In the final gan the Flyers, with outstanding goalie work by Luke Iovine, were able to down the Bruins, 4-2. Jeff Wilson, assisted by John Verdon, scored both Bruin goals. Flyers Dave Bringard, Ed Kochling and Bob Herrmann (2) assisted by JohnCoogaa and Owen Mockridge gave the Flyers their second win this season.
