She was 88. Born in Dundee, Scotland, Mrs. Mitchell lived in near-by Tayport for the first part of her life. MITCHELL A memorial service for Mrs. Agnes Mary Mitchell, a former resident of Upper Montclair, widow of Charles Lewis Mitchell, well-known Scottish landscape painter, was held Friday afternoon in St.

James' Episcopal ception Church Tuesday morning Mayor W. L. Dili's Son-In-Law Dies msm for Mrs. Mildred Howell Savage, wife of Michael J. Savage of 25 Midland Ave.

The funeral was from the Codey Funeral Home and burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Mrs. Savage died Saturday of pneumonia in Mountainside Hospital. She was 57. A lifelong resident of Montclair, Mrs.

Savage was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Immaculate Conception Church. Mr. Savage is a retired Montclair policeman. In addition to her husband she leaves a sister, Mrs. Margaret Bradshaw of Newark, and two brothers, Joseph Howell of Santa Fe Springs, and Walter Howell of East Orange.

Jesse E. White; Ex-Insurance Executive, 81 Funeral services for Jesse Edwards White of 61 South Fuller-ton retired insurance executive, were held yesterday afternoon in the chapel of Central Presbyterian Church. The pastor, the Rev. E. Paul Conine, officiated and John Brownlee, Metropolitan baritone, sang at the services.

Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Mr. White, who was 81, died of a heart attack at his home Monday. Mr.

White retired as senior vice president of the Great American Insurance Company in 1928, returning to active business in 1931 to serve for three years as vice president of the North Star Re-Insurance Company in New York. He was well-known in his field and devoted much of his time to the development of the executive ability of young men in the insurance business and to their advancement in other companies as well as his own. He was also active in fire prevention work and a charter member of the National Association of Fire Underwriters' committee for the development of the association's fire prevention campaign. Born in Montgome-y, Mr. White was a descendant of Jesse Edwards, whose father was Charles Edwards, a lieutenant in the North Carolina Militia during the Revolutionary War.

Funeral services for Stanley 'Addison Russell, 69, of 24 Crest-STiont chairman of the board end president of the Commercial Investing Corporation of Montclair, were held Saturday in Central Presbyterian Church. The pastor, the Rev. E.

Paul Conine, officiated. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Mr. Russell died of a heart attack Dec.

31 in his apartment at the Savoy Hilton Hotel in New York. Mr. Russel was a former president and partner and one of the founders of Lazard Freres Company, New York investment bankers. He left this firm in 1941 to form his own independent company and in 1946 founded the Commercial Investment Corporation in New York. The offices were moved to Montclair in 1955.

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. Russell began his career with the Harris Trust Savings Bank, Chicago, 111., in 1912, following his graduation from Cornell University. In 1918 he came to New York to join National City Company, security affiliate of the National City Bank. He was named assistant vice president of this firm in 1921 and vice president and Margaret Cunningham Dun-Ian. Her musical talents were Frederick Burritt Hollister son-in-law of Mayor William L.

Dill Jr. and Mrs. Dill, died suddenly Sunday at his home in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Hollsiter, who was associated with the American Brake Shoe Company, was recently transferred from this area to Cleveland.

Born in Broklyn, N. July 17, 1928, Mr, Holilster lived in Summit before moving to Ohio. He was a graduate of Summit High School and of Amherst College in recognized early and she became an expert pianist at the age 01 sixteen. Mrs. Garabrant had been a resident of Montclair since 1920. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Upper Montclair Country Club. In addition to her husband, survivors are a son, Joseph E.

Garabrant of Cedar Grove, a daughter, Mrs. Margaret G. Derr, of Upper Montclair, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at George Van Tassel's Communtiy Funeral Home, 337 Belleville Bloom-field.

The Rev. Robert Wagner, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery. ated.

She was a graduate of the Guil-mant Organ School of New York and had been a church organist in Rutherford and Montclair, Mrs. Jones belonged to Central Presbyterian Church and Unity Church Alliance. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Richter, with whom she lived; a son, Lewis T.

Russell had been a resident of Montclair for about 30 years. His memberships included the Recess, Bankers, Cornell and family lived there. twenties, Mrs. Garabrant was a widely acclaimed vocalist. In addition to numerous concert appearances throughout most of the Untied States, she also earned recognition for her recorded music. She sang at many private recitals and as a church soloist in the metropolitan New York area. At the age of 18, she came to New York and in a competitive audition won a scholarship in the Metropolitan Opera school.

Her studies and experience on the Grand Opera stage prepared her for the, later successes on the concert stage. For eleven years she was con clair since" 1913. An active supporter of local charities, he was particularly interested in the YMCA and Red Cross. He helped in the formation of the South Side Association and, was a charter member of the Garden Club of Montclair. He was also a former officer of the Montclair Golf Club and the Colonial Club of Montclair and had been an associate member of the Montclair Dramatic, Club for 35 years.

During the early days of his career in Dallas, Mr. White had served as president of Blue Goose, a national fire insurance association. He was also a member of the Drug and Chemical Club of New York. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
