Shebley of 26185 Holly VMa Boulevard, will be among 22 state employe, all Medal of Valor winner, who will be honored May 11 at a banquet in San Francisco. Shebley, on deer patrol in the Lagiina Mountains for the Department of FUn and Game In September 1958, disarmed a gunman and saved the life of a woman whoite husband had been mortally wounded by the assailant.

Also to be honored at the dinner Is Vernon L. Dupper of 6077 BonhUl Riverside. Dupper, an equipment operator for the state Division of Forestry, ran a bulldozer through flames to save two men fighting a watershed fire north of Monrovia in October 1958. The dinner, designed as a tribute to the Medal of Valor holders, Is sponsored by the California State Employes Associa-tion. The dinner is to be held In the Fairmont Hotel.

Gov. Edmund G. Brown has Invited the Medal of Valor holders to be present for unveiling of a permanent Hall of Fame plaque, which later will be placed In a permanent display case outside the Governor's office in the State Capitol. Also participating In the award dinner will be Atty. Gen.

Stanley Mosk, Controller Alan Cranston and Bradford Crittenden, commissioner of the California Highway Patrol. The CHP has contributed the most Medal of Valor winners, with nine officers honored.
