CAMPBELL Oak lew Baptist Church Text: Jeremiah 19-22 I am sure that there are very few people that will not agree that there is something badly wrong with this old world of curs.

It take a-master mind to see that we need a real change in the way that the people of our world are living. Jeremiah saw the sin of the people of his day and was not afraic to speak out thunderingly aeainst it. There just doesn't seem to be too many today that will speak out against the evils of our time as Jeremiah did. 3nd yet deep down in our hearts we know that this is the greatest wrong with our people, we are sin sick. Sin is like a sickness in its manner of development.

It can seemingly be held under control ax 1 then without warning break out to consume. So many people today fall into this pit. As long as there is sin in a life it will always destroy, unless that person gets rid of their sin. Sin often starts in thoughts, as a man thinketh so he is. Sin is like a sickness in the rapidity of its progress and in its contagious influence.

The great plague of London started with one man yet it almost wiped out the city in a short time. The Bible says "by one man's disobedience sin entered into the Sin is like a sickness in its fatal termination. Many times sickness ends in the death of the person. Not all sick people die but death is the result of sin in all men. Jeremiah points out that there is a remedy for the sin sick.

As the Balm tree yielded medicine for the sick, so also is there healing of the sin sick through the precious blood of Christ. When the Balm tree was tapped it readily flowed its healing sap. The New Testament says, will call upon the name of the Lord shall be This healing is easily obtained and is effectual to the soul. Jeremiah calls out for a physician for the sickness of his people. The world needs a physician today for the sin sick.

There is one who heals. The Great Physi- Jesus Christ. He is acquainted with the nature of the disease. He is skillful in the remedy. He is willing to the cure and His ability' to heal the sin sick is well known.

The Prophet inquired as to why the people of Zion were still sick and not healed when there was a physician and there was balm in the land. This" is the same question that is asked today of die sin sick. Why will you not be healed of your sin? Why is it that people will go on in their sin to deatr. and spend an eternity in Hell when there is one that can heal and save? Some contend that they are not sick at all. Some do not feel that they are in danger of losing their lives.

Some say that they can be rid of sin any time they Some think that they can secure healing when they et ann ready. Even some contend that they are too far gone to recover. There is healing in our land today, there is a means to be rid of sm sickness. Jesus Christ is the answer. Will you not Him an opportunity to work out His matchless cure in your soul today'7 Call upon Him while He is near.

He will heal and save you forever. Church of Christ, Eastside Irvitig lilt ti anti E. 6th MHLM LE: OIO. McCOLLUM M) 4 Bible Study rrr.rr If 9 4. M.
