Returning Dr. Kerr came by New Orleans where he was present at the session of the Southern Medical Association. By request Dr. Kerr addressed the association Wednesday, as related in yesterday's Dallas News by special telegram from New Orleans. Dr.

Kerr says the members present showed great appreciation of his address and particularly that of his experience as surgeon at Andersonville prison, in which he referred to the terrible death rate there, declaring now that it was his opinion that the prisoners were afflicted with both pellagra and hookworm. When he finished his address there were many who crowded about him, thanked him for what he had said and declared he had not only thrown much light upon the subject but had opened a new and broad field for future development. Some of those who represent the government were among those who congratulated and thanked Dr. Kerr and jocularly added: have 1 put your foot in it for you will now be called upon to take part in some government correspondence for you, are going to have inquiries from that Shooters, call at W.
