V. Richardson urges Question: What young boy, a member of the Tulare High School student body, Is well-known for his hobby of building radios? Answer. Forrest Ogan, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W.

II. Ogan living at 704 Mariposa street. It seems this hobby of building radios had its origin when Forrest purchased a crystal from a schoolmate of his when he attended Wilson school. But the Important part came when the young master mind converted the family radio into what Forrest referred to as a crystal set. "Dad said I was crazy until I got the Tulare police," was the statement which the competent young builder made when asked if his venture into the radio world was a success.

Since the days of Wilson school, Forrest has built more radios than he can cpunt. At the work bench in the family garage, he has repaired, built, and rebuilt the many radios with which he has tinkered. However not all of them have been crystal sets which merely consist of a crystal, a pair of ear phones, and a ground aerial. Along with his hobby of building radios, Forrest has branched Into the field of constructing and operating public address systems In fact many of Tulare's leading citizens unconsciously made the acquaintance of the owner's system when they were rooters at the high school baseball games aifd track meets where Forrest's public address system was used.
