Irvingites in service IHS grad on duty in Thailand as aircraft repair specialist A graduate of Irving High School has arrived at a U.S. Air Force Base in Thailand for duty as an aircraft accessories repair specialist with a unit of the Pacific Air Forces previously serving at George Air Force Base, Calif. An Irving resident has departed for eight weeks training after enlisting in the U.S. Army and will be assigned to Ft. Hood, Tex.

as a tank crew member following completion of training. An Irvingite has enlisted in the U.S. Army for four years and will be assigned to an army unit as a missileman following his departure for eight weeks of training. An Irving resident will be assigned by the Army as a tactical micro-wave-systems operator following completion of training, beginning his three years of service in the U.S. Army.

Other Irvingites involved in military service include: a son of an Irving couple who is participating in a summer training program as a student of the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis Md. an Irvingite, who has begun eight weeks training after enlisting in the U.S. Army for four years; a young Irving resident, who will be commissioned a sec- ond lieutenant after participating in six weeks of practical field exercises; a son of an Irving couple, who has been promoted in rank an Irvingite, who will be commissioned a second lieutenant after attending reserve training camp. TERRY L. FREEMAN, was transferred from George Air Force Base to Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand for duty as an aircraft accessories repair specialist with a unit of the Pacific Air Forces. Sgt. Freeman, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Thomas L. Freeman of 923 Sunset Drive, is a 1970 graduate of Irving High School. His wife, Rosalyn, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude K.

Haver of 2683 W. Verbena, Tucson, Ariz. LLOYD GRADY KELLY will be assigned to Ft. Hood as a tank crew member after completing eight weeks of training. Kelly enlisted in 1974 with the U.S.

Army for four years of service. wife, Mary, resides in Irving. CHARLES M. HALL will depart for eight weeks of training to begin a period of four years of service in the U.S. Army.

After completion of training, Hall will be assigned to a unit as an missileman. Hall, a former Irvingite, is the son of Mrs. May Hall who resides in Gainesville, Tex. and is a former student at the University of Texas at Arlington. RICHARD D.

GREGORY enlisted for the U.S. Army micro-wave-systems and will be departing for eight weeks of training. After completion of training, Gregory will be assigned as a tactical micro-wave-system operator and beginning three years of service with the army. Gregory is the son of Mrs. Helen D.

York, who lives at 603 Francine in Irving. Patterns with a WESTERN Flair Midshipman RONALD S. WOOD, will begin his junior year at the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. after participating in a summer training program for two weeks.

Wood, a graduate of MacArthur High School was instructed in professional subjects at the academy including five days of damage-control training at New London, one week of instruction at the Marines Corps. Development and Education Command in Quantico, Va. and one week of training with the destroyer force at Newport, R.I. GARY LEE FOURNET enlisted for four years in the U.S. Army and has departed for eight weeks of training.

He retired 10 years ago from a self employed floor finishing business. His survivors include his wife, Flora; a brother, Joe C. Nowlin of Stamford, three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. E.M. McGilvery and Mrs.

R.L. Bohanan, both of Austin. Funeral services were to be at 3 p.m. at Ben F. Brown Funeral Home chapel with the Rev.

Senior Engineer WENDELL WARFORD, was promoted to the rank of army specialist five while serving as a senior engineer mechanic in the 586th Maintenance Co. in Korn- west heim, Germany. Warford is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Warford of 2935 Luzon.
