Mustangs To Scoreless Tie Result Leaves yers in Cellar and Opponents Just Above; Gortemeglia Off By The Associated DALLAS, Nov. A no; her Touchdown The second touchdown made by Texan was also the result of it fumble, coming in the final period. Saxon passed to Estes, who ran 20 yards to 5-yard iine, where he was thrown with such force that the bail bounced from his grasp. Matt Newell, unable to play today, according to advance reports, but who played brilliant football nevertheless the way, ever alert, dived on the cowskin for a touchdown as it rolled across the Baylor line. That tells the story of the scoring. The play-by-play accounts tell of the numerous fumbles and the brilliant recoveries by the Baylor forwards throughout the first half.

The rain continued here until noon, but by game time the sun was smiling through, making It comfortab'e for the 15.000 spectators, if not for the gridsters, who slipped and slid over the slimy field, and who were forced to handle a ball which could have been no more difficult to hold if it had been greased. But the gridiron mud horses of Doc Stew art, taking the fortunate breaks and the unfortunate breaks as they came, slogged through the muck and 002 to a victory which left the thousands of Longhorn in ec- staeies of delight. The game produced its stars, but evert in defeat there is hardly any that will deny the brilliance of Captain Bear Walker. He was everywhere today, making tackles, endeavoring to diagnose the Texas shift, and bad the Baylor line as a whole been as successful as Walker, then it would probably have taken than the two breaks to defeat the Bears. But this is meant to state that the breaks beat Baylor today.
