An eventwhich has been the subject of a great deal of interest in certain so ciety circles of the city took place last evening at the commodious residence of Mr.

i and Mrs. John H. Dunn, on Wayne street, the marriage of Mr George O. Ware, of the firm of Sibley 6 Ware, of this city, to Miss Kate B. Porter.

The bride is a granddaughter of Mrs. Hannah Roberts, by whom the invitations were extendedj about 150 in number, to the friends of the parties in this city and elsewhere The ceremony took place shortly 'after 7 o'clock, performed by Rev. A Gobin, pastor of the First M. E. church! There were no attendants.

The bride presented a lovely appearance, without any exaggeration of the usual news paper phrase. She was attired in an exquisitely fitting dress of cream colored bunting trimmed with brocaded silk) satin and lace. Toe groom was in the customary suit of black with white vest and tie. As soon as the minister had pronounced the impressive closing words of the ceremony, congratulations were showered upon the happy pair in great profusion by the large number of guests present A truly regal repast followed and. the guesta departed from, the merry scene at an early hour.

The present were numerous, many of them jwere costly, and of practical utility. By request we refrain from publishing the list. Mr. and Mrs. Ware will spend jtheir honeymoon among friends here instead of taking the customary bridal trip.

They will soon occupy a suite of pleasant rooms in one of ex-Mayor Thomas" houses on Lafayette street, boarding at Mrs. Hooper's for the winter. The Tribune )ins with the many friends pf the newly wedded pair in wishingj them a long, prosperous and tunny life.
