I well remember that wh.il th said regiment was enoamped at th city of Wlnoaester, ia March, ISGli, of Dr. Johnson, then surgeon. chaplain ot the regiment, Thomas A. Whlttod, that tne skeleton of one of th sons of John Brown was la ts hospital or madloal celltg of th said City of Winchester.

I also heard sevsral of the prominent citizen of the said city, th name of whom I have forgotten, aay that th skeleton wss thst of on of ths Brown boys; killed at Harper's Ferry, in 1859, at the time of the Insurrection. Dr. John Boa took charge of the subject, aaa shipped It to hi home in Morgan tows, Morgan County, Ind. Th man In th company frequently talked about Its being the skeleton at Jonn Brown's son. I left the army la 1883, oh detached service, and returned home to Morgan County.

I saw th skeleton ia about two weeks after my return, at too resideae ot Dr. Johnson. I have seen it frequently slnoe the war. I aaw It again on last Saturday and recognised It as the same. Johnson always told me tuat It was the skeleton of Brows' son.

in my own mind, judging from tn fact within my knowledge, I have no denbt but what It la th remain of the son cf John Brown. Futchu D.
