The StarPhoenix Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Wednesday, December 26, 2007 1000 KING David. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Puris King. Grandpa David passed away peacefully on Saturday December 22nd. I I I He was born on August 2nd, 1912 in Florence, Cape Breton. Dave was predeceased by his parents Purvis Margaret King; his brothers Louis and Harold; his sisters Genieve, Alice, Margaret and Veronica and his wife of only 10 years Sally.

Dave will be sadly missed by those close to loving sister Edith McMullin (Cape Breton): his dear friend for the past 26 years Thelma McDonald; Thelma's daughter Lynn (Jim) Earle and the two children that know him as Grandpa Kent and Melanie Earle. Twenty-one years ago Melanie was the first infant Dave ever held from then on they shared a a a a a a a a special bond. Dave will also remembered by his sister-in-law. Pearl (Harold) King and numerous nieces and nephews. David was 'the King' with a gentle and endearing personality, His humor was loved and appreciated by everyone.

Dave had a full and colourful life. As a young teen he ran with Johnny Miles, a long distance runner from Cape Breton who twice the famed Boston Marathon. At the clever 17. David started professional Boxing career. He traveled throughout Canada and the United States.

He met, fought and became friends with many wellknown boxers of the 30's. At the age of 20. he won the Canadian Welterweight ship. At 25 he ended his career but was always proud that he was never 'knocked out'. Dave known a dependable worker.

He was soon Noranda Mines and became a site superintendent responsible for traveling to remote areas, hiring a crew and setting up mines. He was also an avid curler. Winning the Northern Ontario finals. He moved to Saskatoon in the early 80s where he met Thelma at the Mayfair Lawn Bowling club. They became dear friends and entered Lynn, Kent and Melanie's life.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff Luthercare Community Home where not Grandpa lived since 2002. He considered the friends. They joked together and shared many laughs. Our lives have been enriched by this dear man. We will forever be grateful for his presence and will always remember our Grandpa David.

STEFANIUK, Olga The StarPhoenix (nee Taciuk) January 25, 1923-December 21, 2007 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Olga Stefaniuk, of Edmonton, formerly of Saskatoon, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Olga fell asleep in the Lord on 21, 2007.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered and cherished by her two daughters: Audrey (Boris) Ewanchuk, and Valorie (John) McCombe; grandson, Dr. Mark Ewanchuk (Dr. Jill Griffiths) and great grandson, Andrew; granddaughter, Kathryn (Graham) Mitchell; grandson, Peter Ewanchuk, all of Edmonton; and sister, Emily Pihach of Saskatoon. Also mourning her passing are her dear nieces, nephews, cousins, special brothers and sisters-in-law and other in-laws. Olga was predeceased by her loving husband, Andrew; parents, Dmytro and Wasylena Taciuk; sister, Ann Sikorski; and brothers, John, Nick, William, Fred and Peter.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Rite will on Friday, December 28, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Sobor, 9930-167 Street, Edmonton. Immediately following Funeral, interment will take place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Marguerite Alice Eager December 30, 1923 December 22, 2007 The family of Marguerite are deeply saddened by her passing on Saturday, 22nd. Marguerite will be lovingly remembered by her son, Derek (Marlene) and their daughters, Krista and Melanie (Karl daughter-in-law, Irene, and her son, Michael; are great-granddaughter, Dacia: nieces and nephews, and many others. She was predeceased by her parents, Rainsford and Christina Reade; her sisters, Eileen and Mary: her brothers, Angus, David, and Royston; her husband, Richard Livingston Eager; and her oldest son, Richard. Marguerwas born in Estevan. Following a period working the Workman's Compensation Board and War Time Prices and Trade Board, she attended the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in Chemistry.

Upon graduation she took a position with the National Research Council, and moved to Ottawa, where she married Richard on June 4th, 1949. After moving back to Saskatoon, Marguerite worked as a research assistant at the University of Saskatchewan until the birth of her first child. Marguerite was an avid bridge player, while her health permitted, and a long time member of the Saskatoon Bridge Club, where she made many dear friends. A remembrance tea with family and friends will be held from 1:30 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 29th, in the recreation room at Chalet Gardens, 2305 Adelaide Street East.

Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grosvenor Park United Church or to a charity of your choice. Winnifred Loretta Kielo May 11, 1920 December 22, 2007 Winnie passed away at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home on Saturday, December 22, 2007.

She was born in Asquith on May 11. 1920, the fourth child of August and Caroline Junop. Winnie took her schooling at Avondale School and in 1939 married Wesley Kielo. Together they raised four boys and one girl and farmed in the area. Winnie was a devoted mother and strong to her faith.

She loved her garden, quilting, and knitting but most of all loved having her grandchildren around. Family get togethers were the most special times. The Funeral Service for Winnie will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. from the Acadia Drive Funeral Chapel (915 a Acadia Drive) with Interment to follow in the Avondale Cemetery (Delisle District).
