There are few smiles in Green Bay, and those that are forced to form deal with the return to the practice field of two of last Sundays injured quarterback Bart Starr and halfback Paul Hornung. Starr was knocked cold and Hornungs neck trouble returned as the Packers were defeated 24-14 by the 49ers in San Francisco.

But Tuesday, Starr was back at his place in the lineup and Hornung confined most of his activity to running on the sidelines. While the Packers are 5-5 in the Western Division, the Browns are leading in the Eastern Division with an 8-1-1 record. The team is starting to play like a championship outfit, said Browns advance man Nate Wallack as he arrived in the state Tuesday. Wallack said there has been one big reason for the Browns' success W'eve been behind in every game but one and still have managed to keep winning." As for the formula for the Browns, Wallack said, Weve got some depth, a little quality and have had a bit of luck. The combination has carried us a long way." Cleveland can clinch the Eastern Conference title with a victory over the Packers, if at the same time Philadelphia defeats second-place St.
