City election; next Tuesday i The rain has acted as a cooler on city politics to-day. William H. Blusser frill be a candidate for assessor on the democratic ticket, subject to the will of the city delegates. Republicans should be out promptly to-morrow night at the ward primaries, which are called for at 7 o'clock. The larger the turn-out; top, the more satisfactory the ticket Will W.

The democrats will meet to-night to nominate councilmen jand select delegates for their convention to-morrow night. Al Culver will not be a candidate for nomination for marshal. The democracy have things; fixed to' nominate O. H. Brusie, and the other fellows stand no show.

There is a great deal? of mourning and discontent among the democracy who do not favor delegate system adopt ed for selecting candidates on the democrat city ticket. It is this no doubt to which the Heiald refers, when it says "let faction withotd it hissing tongue." A prominent democrat said to-day that the Brusie-Lister faction has the upper-hand and will run affairs to suit themselves. He is disgusted with the wire-working and intriguing going on and declares he will not vote at all.
