Grover, 88, of Rush-ford, died Saturday, March 17, 2001, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at First Presbyterian Church in Rushford. Burial will be in Oak Grove City Cemetery in Rushford. The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

Monday at Hoff Funeral Homes Cook Rushford Chapel and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Mamie C. Dahl PIGEON FALLS, Wis. -Mamie C. Dahl, 89, of Pigeon Falls, died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Emma Martha Gusta (Kuehl) Tramel TOMAH, Wis. Emma Martha Gusta (Kuehl) Tramel was called to her eternal home with the Lord Friday, March 16, 2001, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Tomah.

The Revs. Donald Buch and Del Begalke will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call from noon until the time of services Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.

Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the family with Leonard (Buster) C. Peaslee ONALASKA, Wis. -Leonard (Buster) C. Peaslee, 70, of Lusk, and formerly of Onalaska died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Clement J. Zablocki V.A.

Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wis. He was born in La Crosse March 15, 1931, to William and Margaret (Mock) Peaslee. He is survived by six sisters, Darlene (John) Page of Onalaska, Tina (Howard) Richert of Mountain Home, Janet Pederson of Onalaska, Janice (Ronald Buck) Winchell of Holmen, Judy Pierce and Nancy Benson, both of La Crosse; and three brothers, Donald (Jill) Peaslee of Oakland, Roger (Rose) Peaslee of La Crosse and Alvin Peaslee of La Crosse. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty and Edna; and one brother, William Jr.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, March 21, at Blaschke Funeral Home-Nelson Chapel, 1007 Caledonia La Crosse. The Rev. Wese-ly Janowski will officiate, with burial in Lusk, Wyo. Friends and family may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Othilda J. Tillie Berg BLAIR, Wis. Othilda J. Tillie Berg, 94, of Galesville, formerly of Blair, died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Marinuka Manor in Galesville. Tillie was born May 9, 1906, in rural Ettrick to John and Margaret (Flaato) Erickson.

She attended French Creek Elementary School in rural Ettrick and then La Crosse Business College. Tillie married Alvin Berg Nov. 8, 1924, in Blair. They raised their family in the Blair and Ettrick areas until 1956, when they moved to California, where Tillie was employed at area nursing homes. Alvin preceded Tillie in death Aug.

14, 1977. In 1978, Tillie moved to Galesville but returned to California during the winter for several years. She had been a resident of Marinuka Manor since July 1999. Tillie was a member of First Lutheran Church in Blair and was active in its various organizations. Tillie is survived by six daughters, Alvina (Gordon) Deeren of Galesville, Elaine Wegner of Rockton, 111., Jeanette (Charles) Horvath of Mission Hills, Janice Wandry of New Berlin, Elsie (Phillip) Hanevold of West Allis and Olida Brown of Forrest Hills, a son, Otto (Charline) Berg of Yorbalinda, 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grand-children; and five sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents and husband, Tillie was preceded in death by a sister and a grandson. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, in First Lutheran Church, with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, both in Blair. The Rev. Gary Hanson will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19, in Jack Funeral Home in Blair and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Gwendolyn Hammond DESOTOONALASKA, Wis. Gwendolyn Grandma Gwen" Hammond, 81, of Thornfield, and formerly of De Soto and Onalaska went to be with her Heavenly Father March 15 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

She was born Feb. 11, 1920, in DeSoto to Frank and Ora (Ames) Hickok. On Nov. 4, 1954, she married Keith Hammond. They lived in De Soto, where she devoted her life to her family, teaching her children about faith, trust and devotion in Jesus Christ, her Savior.

She was an avid gardener and through the labor of her hands, pantries were always full. Her home always reflected the fragrance and beauty of her many flowers. She was a member of Hilltop Victory Chapel, in Thornfield, where her special love of Jesus touched everyone, and she was known to all as Grandma Gwen. Gwen is survived by one son, Terry' (Jan) Smith of Eau Claire, three daughters, Gail Knudson of Onalaska, Taia (David) Frohman of Thornfield, Eula (Glen) Wilson of Grants Pass, 19 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Don (Peg) Hickok, Phil (Inez) Hickok; and one sister, Ruth Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith, on Dec.

29, 1996; one son, Glen Roger Smith; a great-grand- daughter, Nichole Marie Wro-bel; one brother, Doug Hickok; and two sisters, Hazel Oliver and Iona Seymour. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua, with the Rev. Richard Gilmore officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Mound Cemetery at Retreat, rural Viroqua.

Puent OAKDALELA CROSSE -Alice F. Puent, 72, of Oakdale, died peacefully Friday, March 16, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Carol Patterson, in La Crosse, surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at St. James Catholic Church in Camp Douglas, Wis.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale. Friends may call at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse from 6 to p.m. Tuesday and at the church in Camp Douglas Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A complete obituary will follow.

Farrell, Prairie du Chien, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Ruth (Eli) Dessloch and Ruby (Robert) Scheffer, both of Prairie du Chien, and one brother, Charles Rommel of Mindoro, Wis. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Eileen (Jim) Byloff, Palm Beach Gardens, her son, John Farrell, Crawfordville, and one sister, Sylvia (George) Gullickson, La Crosse.
