Graeme was born and raised on a farm near Froblsher. Stricken with polio at the age of three his life exhibited a quier aerermmarion to meeT lire challenges head-on. He attended university In Saskatoon and Guelph, graduating In 1947 with his degree In Veterinary Medicine. He established a rural practice centered around Asqulth, where he met and married Estelle Summach on July 7, 1948. They were married nearly 53 years at the time of her death In 2001.

In 1963, Graeme joined the Health of Animals and was a federal meat Inspector until his early retirement about 1983. Graeme and Estelle enjoyed traveling, friends and family In their retirement years In Abbotsford, BC and Saskatoon, SK. John will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Virginia of 50 years; his sons, Wayne (Joan) Jordan, Matthew, Adam; Bryan (Sylvia) Jllllan, Holly, Kerilynn, Ariee; sisters, Olga Meszaros, Ann Lynchuck (John), Marie Kuyath (Albert), Rosle Friske (Ben); sisters-in-law, Frances Zook, Mlchelena Zook; brothers, Edward Zook (Adeline), Elmer Zook (Sophie); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Jessie Zook; brothers, Peter and Bill Zook; sisters, Catharlna Lucyshyn and Tina Komarnlskl. John was born September 6, 1932 in Cudworth, SK. He married Virginia In 1955 and celebrated their 50th anniversary last August. John had a passion for cooking and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, Sebastian (Sam) In June, 2000; her parents, Annie and Mike; her brothers. George, BUI and Jim.

Marie married Sam Melssner on June 5, 1944 ond they Hved numerous places, settling In Prince Albert and then moving to Saskatoon when Burns closed. After Sam's death, mom moved Into Villa ovale where the mode many friends and enjoyed trips to the co-op for coffee and cheese buns. The graveside service wil be held in Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. -for those wishing to attend, please meet by the old bakery at the entrance of Woodlawn Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Donations In Marie's memory may be made to Telemlrocle, 2217 Hanselman Court.

WHITE Margaret Jean White was born In Saskatoon on February 10th, 1918 and passed away on January 19, 2006. She Is survived by sons; Hugh (Kate and grandchildren Meghan and Cameron); Bill (Maureen ana grandchildren Danielle and Matthew); Jim, daughter-in-law Gladys (grandchildren Laura and Chris), brother-in-law Robert White, sister-in-law Olive-Anne (White) Kaplanls cousin Bridget (Cameron) Chlnn and the Groat family, with whom many memorable Christmases were spent. She was predeceased by her parents Hugh Cameron and Mary (Hill) Cameron; husband.

Jack; son Sergeant Gordon White (RCMP); cousin Russell Alexander Cameron, brothers and sisters-in-law; Joanne, John and Kay, Jack and Emily, Harry and Verena. Jean graduated from Caswell Hill Elementary School and Bedford Road Collegiate. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor's in Household Science (B.H.Sc). After graduation, Jean worked at the Baltzan Medical Clinic In Saskatoon before her marriage. Jean traveled to Montreal to marry fellow 0 of graduate (Mechanical Engineering) John (Jack) White.

The family lived In Montreal and Cornwall. After Jack's death, Jean and the boys returned to Saskatoon, She began working again for Dr. Baltzan In Saskatoon, and later became the Secretary Treasurer of Knox United Church until her retirement. Jean raised four children on her own and was proud that three children also graduated from the of and one attended Simon Fraser. Jean held several Bosltlons In the Canadian Federation of niverslty Women, as Secretary Treasurer and Vice President, and was active In the book club, the annual book sale fundralsing event and the CFUW Art Group who donates a painting to a Saskatoon Elementary school each year.

She enjoyed sewing and was an avid gardener and member of the horticultural society. She was an active member of the Saskatoon Bridge Club, playing every Monday for over twenty years. Jean was grateful for the companionship of her many friends. Jean never hesitated to help neighbours and friends, offering car rides, shopping trips, meals and accommodations. She traveled extensively in Canada from the West Coast to the High Arctic, to Newfoundland, and had visited almost every Province and Territory, missing only the Yukon.

She especially enjoyed her summer visits with her sons' families. She greatly enjoyed figure skating, attending many World Championship events with her dear friend, Bryar Sedgewlck. She dso enjoyed Jazz, and was a member of the Saskatoon Jazz Society for many years, and spent many enjoyable evenings at the Bassment. Her parents, Hugh 8c Mary Cameron were early Saskatoon residents. Hugh and his brother Robert built many homes In the Caswell Hill area, and Robert worked on the construction of the Traffic Bridge In 1906.

Jean's ancestors were originally from Scotland and Ireland, and were amongst the earliest pioneer settlers of Bruce County and Norfolk County, Ontario. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox United Church at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31st, Arrangements by Martens Warman Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the charity of your choice. MACKENZIE Professor Patrick Thomas (emeritus) died peacefully In Saskatoon on January 23, 2006 after a brief illness. He was 73.

Patrick was the only son of the late Dr. N.A.M. and Margaret Thomas Mackenzie of Vancouver. He is survived by Eileen Ann, his loving wife of 45 years; two sisters, Susan Roote and Bridget (Daphne) Mackenzie of Vancouver ana their families; five children, Robert (Karen) Mackenzie of La Rong 3, Nigel (Use) Mackenzie of Chicago, Sarah (Bob) Dyck of Hepburn, Shona (Andre) Plante of Minneapolis and Christopher Mackenzie of Vancouver. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a kind and gentle father and husband, a fine scholar and teacher and a dignified, funny and generous man. A graduate of UBC and St, John's College Cambridge, Patrick was a professor of philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan for 38 years. He served as head of the department for a time and published a number of academic works. He was a keen traveller, skier, windsurfer and tennis player. He was also a lover of jazz, fine wine, food and single malt.

His love and companionship will be greatly missed. Prayers and Memorials will be held at St. Francis Xavler Catholic Church. 222 Willow St. at 7:30 p.m.

February 6, 2006. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the same place at 1 0:30 a.m. on February 7, to be followed by lunch at the church. A jazz reception will be held at the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Club from p.m. on the 7th.

His ashes will be scattered at sea near the family cottage at Bowyer Island this summer, a place where he spent many happy hours. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Faculty Club or the St. Paul's Hospital FoundationPalliative Care Unit. Particular thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, and to Drs. Brian Colquhoun and Ed Karplnsky.
