Paul's Hospital In Saskatoon. Lillian was born on December 28, 1923. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Maynara Erlckson and his wife, Edna of Blggar; and her brother, Emil Erickson and his wife, Hannah of Valley Park; by her nephew, Ian and his son, Noel of Saskatoon; by niece. Carmen of Saskatoon; and by niece and nephews. Lynda, David and Ted of Edmonton.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Anna Erlckson; sisters, Norene and Nora, and a brother, Melvln. Lillian was raised in the Valley Park area, south of Saskatoon, and then spent her working life in Saskatoon. Most of her working life was spent with the National Farmers' Union where she Is fondly remembered. After retirement, she enjoyed travel with her sister Norene and looking after her great nephew, Noel, who became like her grandson. Lillian enjoyed many hours at the keyboard, playing old favorites and visiting with family and friends.

We celebrate her life and give great thanks for her presence in our lives. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Howard Ulmer officiating. Neufeldt MCKaque t-unerai Uhapel (664-3131) completing Grade 12, he studied at Bethany Bible College, Hepburn SK, for two years. Because of his mother's illness he returned home to the farm. In 1943 he was given a medical discharge from the Canadian Armed Forces. He then took mechanical courses at Lone Star Auto Electric in Saskatoon and worked as a garage mechanic in Maidstone during the winters. Also in 1943, John and his brother Herb began farming together and did so until 1979.

Each owned his own land but they shared ownership of large equipment. On October 23, 1948 John married Jessie McPherson of Borden, SK. They moved Into the house that his parents had built In 1936; they moved into a new home In 1985. In all they shared fifty-seven years together. During those years John served on many boards and committees In the districts of Idanell and Maidstone.

These Included many years of service to the Idanell School Board, and ten years as a trustee on the Lloydmlnster Unit Board. He also served as Superintendent of his church's Sunday School Program for many years and volunteered in many organizations. John Andrew Bettcher passed away on September 24, 2005. He leaves to mourn his wife, Jessie; his three children: Gordon (Carol), Jean (Eugene) Hamel and Neil (Pauline his three grandchildren: Andrea and Marc Hamel, Chris (Laura) Bettcher; Carol's daughter, Jenna; and two great-grandchildren, Damon and Kelsey Bettcher. Also mourning John are his sister, Lora Riemer, of Edmonton and numerous hephews, nieces and cousins throughout Canada and the US.

He especially cherished his nephews: Merl, Daryle, and Wayne who grew up nearby. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Bettcher; by five of his brothers and three of his sisters. A service will be held in the Maidstone Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28. Arrangements have been entrusted to McCaw Funeral Services Ltd.

and Aganetha (Dyck) Neufeld on September 23, 1909. He married Anna Schultz, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Sperling) Schultz, in Dalmeny on April 25, 1935. He was a progressive and innovative farmer, living In me Waldhelm area until 1992 when he and Ann retired to a senior's condo at Circle Drive Place in Saskatoon where they enjoyed making many new friends. He was an active member and supporter of his church and community, having served on a wide variety of Boards and committees. From 1965 to 1992, he and Ann spent their winters in Mesa.

Arizona. Summers were spent at their cottage on Anglln Lake where they especially enjoyed fishing. He was particularly thankful to God mat he and Ann were able to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on April 25th of this year. Lawrence had an enthusiasm for life and was always healthy and active, however, his zest for living and his health slowly began to decline after he was separated from Ann when she was placed in a nursing home In May 2005. Lawrence was pleased to be able to celebrate his 96th birthday with his wife and children on September 23.

The following morning he felt ill and was taken to me Royal University Hospital where he died shortly after arrival. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Home Care for their care and helpfulness as well as the staff of the Circle Drive Special Care Home for their care and kindness during the last several months. A celebration and remembrance of his life will take place at me Waloheim Mennonite Brethren Church, Waldheim, Saskatchewan, 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 1, 2005, with his nephew. Rev. He worked as a grain buyer for Federal and Pool elevators in various towns in Saskatchewan. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. George Is survived by his special friend, Ruth Gysler. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and a sister. A private interment of George's cremated remains will take place In Laura Cemetery.
