SIVERTSON The passing of Gordon Roger Sl-vertson, age 82 years of Saskatoon, SK and formerly of Hawarden, SK occurred peacefully in JUNOP Donald "Don" Robert Junop, age 74 years of Parkridge Centre.Saskatoon, formerly of Delisle district passed away on December 21, 1996, following a lengthy illness. Surviving are: his loving wife and best friend of 53 years, Edna; daughter. Donna (Jim) Frank of Spruce Grove, AB; sons, Garry (Shirley) Junop of Sas- katoon and Ron (Diane) Junop of eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister. Hazel (Mike) Hantiuk and their -three children of Sandy Lake.

MB. Don was predeceased by his parents, Fern and Ida Junop; brothers, Henry and Harvey; sisters, Neva and Minnie; grandchildren, Beverly and Robert; daughter, Faye Bell (Junop) who left three children, Bruce, Brent, and Denise, whom-' Don and Edna raised. Don was bom on August 26, 1 922 in the Delisle district, where he lived all -his life. He rriet and married Edna Gordon on August 24, 1943. They farmed and lived in the Delisle, Frontenac area until this past summer when Don had a stroke and had to be moved to the Parkridge Centre, where he resided until his passing.

Don drove the school bus for seven years. He worked at both Comlnco and Cory Potash Mines. He very much enjoyed farming, nature, animals, and birds. In his younger' days, he spent many a winter setting trap-lines. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, coffee with his many long time friends and especially planting trees.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered as a friendly outgo-" ing person, who could always be counted on by his family and many friends. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Ben Hiebert, will be held on Friday, December 27, 1996at 2:00 p.m. from Delisle town Hall, Delisle, SK. Interment will follow in Delisle Cemetery.
