At the opening of every meeting for the last month the question always has been asked: "Has anyone found a home for the new pastor?" Negative answers have thrown gloom through the congregation, while the strain on the pastor's patience became greater. One plan of the congregation, to form the membership into a committee of one and start a systematic canvass of the city, is to be considered tonight. Applications for a suitable residence now are in every real estate office in the city, the members say. HIS OVERCOAT IS RETURNED.

A plot of ground at the corner of Grandview boulevard and Orville avenue, Kansas City, was inspected today by the city commissioners with a view to condemning the property for park purposes. Several houses are on the land. Residents of the neighborhood have petitioned for a park and a committee of property owners from the district met the commissioners on the ground to- day. SHAWNEE MARKET PLAN READY. Chamber of Commerce Will Receive the Proposal Febronry 25.

Plans are complete for a Shawnee suburban produce W. W. Thomas, chairman of the plans committee of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, said today. plan calls for a capitalization of $5,000, to be obtained by a sale shares at $10 each. Profits will be devoted to the community's welfare.

A market to handle fifty wagons is proposed. Mr. Thomas said he would submit the plan to the chamber February 25. Shawnee is not incorporated. MAY ENLARGE GRUND HOTEL.

Negotiations, With 8-Story Owner Building. Contemplate The Grund hotel, Kansas City, may be enlarged from four stories. Negotiations are under way between Barney L. Allis. representing men who operate the Columbia Hotel Company, and Henry McGrew, owner of the Grund hotel.

Lease arrangements probably will be completed at a meeting today. The Grund hotel now is operated by the hotel company. INDIA MISSIONARIES TO TALK. The carnival is for recruiting purposes. The sixty-one boxes have been sold to Kansas City firms. SEEKS AID FOR ILL FAMILY. Kansas City, Cannot Pat Tubercalosis Patients Leeds Hospital. There is no room the tuberculosis hospital at Leeds for patients from Kansas City according to a letter received today by Dr.

L. B. Gloyne, health commissioner of Kansas City, from Dr. E. H.

Bullock, health director of Kansas City, Mo. Efforts bad been made to obtain admission to the hospital of a Kansas City, family suffering from tuberculosis. The health department has no funds or method of providing aid, for such cases. Temporary relief has been obtained sending two children of the family to the Kansas tuberculosis hospital at Norton. The mother, Mrs.

Asunsion Grageda, 1637 South Twenty-first street, be received in the hospital, which takes only light cases of the disease. She is at her home under the care of a charity sisterhood. The husband. Anton Grageda, a laborer, also is isolated in the home. Efforts are being made by Dr.

Gloyne to obtain the use of municipal property west of the city for a tuberculosis hospital. A LOG CABIN FOR SCOUTS. Wyandotte Troop 7 Will Build on Church's Grounds. Plans for a large 1-story log cabin on the grounds of St. Paul's Episcopal church, 714 State avenue, Kansas City, as new headquarters for troop Wyandotte council, Boy Scouts, were started today.

Construction by scouts is to be directed by Willard J. Olander, scoutmaster. The Rev. Carl Nan, church, will lead members assisting the boys. Boys Sentenced for Motor Tire Theft.

Michael Trabon. 13 years old. 1181 Southwest boulevard, and Paul Faherty, 12 years old, 1178 North Second street, Rosedale, pleaded guilty today to stealing a motor car tire and tools from a garage at 1177 Southwest boulevard. They were sentenced to state industrial school at Topeka by Judge John T. Sims in the Wyandotte County juvenile court.

"By far the larger number of delinquent girls who come to my attention are more than 16 years old," Mrs. Cole said. The reformatory for girls Mrs.

Under Measure, Kanans City, Would Doubling Amount Votes Four Years Age. Bu a Staff TOPEKA, Feb. bill providing for a bond issue of $225,000 for a city hall auditorium for Kansas City, has been recommended favorably by the senate committee on cities of the first class. A similar bill introduced in the house has been killed by the committee on cities of the first class in that body. Four years ago Kansas City, voted $125,000 to build a city auditorium.

Rapid advance in prices made it impossible to build the auditorium at that time for the amount voted. The bill will give the city authority to double the bond issue without another election. The Rosedale annexation bill will be before the house committee tomorrow. This bill already has passed the senate.
