N. Saskatoon, Sask. S7K 2P1 1000 SUMMACH The passing of Wilfred August Summach, age 77 years of Saskatoon, SK, occurred peacefully in his sleep at home on Tuesday, December 1, 1992. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Wayne McLaren from Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North.

Courtesy parking is available directly South of the Chapel. Surviving are his two sons, Gordon (Eleanor) and Donald (Carol), both of Saskatoon; three grandchildren, Lisa of Burnaby, BC, Leslie and Sheldon of Saskatoon; three brothers, Harvey (Olive) of Creston, BC, Ray (Jennie) of Saskatoon and Percy (Wilma) of Asquith, SK; three sisters, Jean (Harvey) Sage of Saskatoon, Delia (Bill) Felske of Calgary, AB and Loris (Ivan) Smith of Delisle and one brother-in-law, Everett (Loretta) Young of Asquith. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene in 1990; his parents, August and Minnie Summach; his brother, Eldon, and sister, Maureen. Wilf Summach was bom south of Asquith on June 12, 1915 and received his education at Avondale School and Delisle High School. He married Irene Mcintosh on June 12, 1940 and they farmed at Asquith until 1975 when they retired to Saskatoon.

He was a Life Member and a secretary of the Asquith Masonic Lodge 146, A.F. and A.M., G.R.S. and a Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Melody Chapter 133 at Perdue, SK. He was a Councillor of Vanscoy Municipality for seventeen years and served on many committees over the years. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 438-2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2C3. The Pallbearers will be Jack Puranen, Dennis Puranen, Dwight Smith, Larry Summach, Mel Weber and Ron Bold. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Peter Sabadash, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, occurred at Cudworth, Saskatchewan on December 1, 1992 at the age of 75 years. Prayers will be held on Friday, December 4, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. from the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cudworth, SK. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, December 5, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. from the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cudworth, SK with Fr.

Leonard Romanow, Rev. Fr. Roman Schneider and Fr. Walter Wasylishen as Celebrants. Interment will follow in the Spasa Cemetery in the Cudworth District.

Peter is lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene (nee Bayda); one daughter, Diane (Peter) Woitas of Edmonton, AB; three sons, Dave (Donna Sabadash of Tofield, AB, Roman Sabadash (special friend, Helen) of Cudworth, SK, Richard Sabadash (special friend, Michelle) of Cudworth, SK; four grandchildren, Brent, Scott, Jason and Ryan; three sisters, Ann Mandryk of Kamsack, SK, Lena Kapacila of Cudworth, SK, and Ada Sabadash of Kamsack, SK; two brothers, Fred Sabadash of Kamsack, SK and John (Theresa) Sabadash of Yorkton, SK; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Maty Sabadash; one brother, Steve; one sister, Mary; one sister-in-law, Kay; two brothers-in-law, Peter and Bill; two nephews Morris and Don Sabadash. Peter was bom in Cudworth on November 6, 1917. He was an active church member and also active in the community. He was also an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.

Peter was a devoted farmer from 1948-1992. He would never say no to friends and neighbors if they needed help. He served in the Canadian Army from 1942-1945 (King's Own Rifle). He enjoyed watching his sons play hockey and in his spare time enjoyed playing cards. Peter will always be remembered.

Pallbearers will be Dave, Roman, and Richard Sabadash and Brent, Scott and Jason Woitas. The Crossbearer will be Bemie Pidskalny and an Honor Guard will be formed by the Knights of Columbus. Memorial donations directed to St. Michael's Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan would be greatly appreciated by the family. DEATHS 1000 BRENHOLEN The death of Arthur W. Bren-holen, age 80 years of Saskatoon, occurred on Tuesday, December 1, 1992 at City Hospital. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Father Len Cyr from St.

Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, 1902 Munroe Avenue. Arthur is survived by his son, Lionel (Mary Ann) Brenholen of Regina, SK; his daughter, Ramona Brenholen of Saskatoon; his three grandchildren, Michael Brenholen of Yorkton, Laurie Ann (Don) Simons and Gregory Brenholen of Regina; two great grandchildren, Stephen and Sean Simons of Regina; and one brother, Eugene (Daisy) Brenholen of Moose Jaw, SK. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (nee Mack); his parents. Emit and Leeta Brenholen of Bromhead and Weybum; and his brother, Cecil Brenholen of Weybum. Arthur was bom on June 24, 1912 on a homestead near Bromhead, SK and later assisted with the draying business and family farm in Bromhead.

During the early years, playing hockey and baseball occupied most of his spare time although as early as 1928 he was playing drums for a dance band "The Melody He completed his grade 12 education by attending Outlook College and then went on to Moose Jaw in 1934-35 to receive his teaching certificate. His first two schools were small rural schools, Schneller and Hayland, near Bromhead. In the years following 1939, he taught at Tribune, Bromhead, Lawson, South Allan, Han-ley and Clavet. Fourteen of those years were spent as a teacher and principal in Bromhead. Arthur and family moved to Saskatoon in 1956 so he could attend university for a year.

After correspondence and night school classes he completed his Bachelor of Education Degree and finished his final years of teaching at Clavet, retiring in 1972. A family man, painter, sculptor, sportsman, fisherman, carpenter, mechanic, village reeve, STF councilor, vice-principal, principal, but always a teacher. He will be fondly remembered by family, friends, relatives, colleagues and students. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8. The Honorary Pallbearers will be all those who shared in Arthur's life.

The Active Pallbearers will be; Ronald Just, Lyle Mack, Gregory Brenholen, Michael Brenholen, David Sutherland and John Kutama. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in care of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL. METROPOUT John, late of Surrey, BC passed away December 2, 1992, aged 83 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty; five stepsons; one sister, Vema Alex, Surrey, BC; two brothers, Mac, Cudworth, SK, Miro, Saskatoon and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He taught school In Saskatchewan for 39 years and moved to B.C. in 1979 after his retirement. Those who wish may pay their respects during visitation Friday, December 4 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at Avalon Surrey Funeral Home, 13288 108th Surrey where the Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 5 at 4:00 p.m.

Adam was bom July 2nd, 1924 in Turzysk, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1929 with his parents to reside in the Perryville (Punnichy) District. In 1943 the family moved to Hamilton, Ontario area where Adam helped his parents farm and later was employed by Firestone Tire Rubber Company. On February 22nd, 1947 he married Vera Wakulich and returned to farming in the Kandahar district in 1952. Adam and Vera then moved to Saskatoon in 1978 where he worked with his sons in their general construction enterprise. Following that he was employed as a security officer at the Market Mall Plaza.

In 1984 until his retirement in 1989 he was employed by Argus Security in Saskatoon. During his retirement years, Adam was very active in his "weedless" garden and received numerous comments from the neighbors for the "wonderful tomatoes" and other vegetables and flowers his "green" thumb would produce. As a hobby Adam enjoyed making various wooden crafts that are visible in many of the yards in the neighborhood where he lived. All his friends and neighbors commonly referred to Adam as Adam is survived by his two sons, Garry of Saskatoon, and Murray (Diane) of Strasbourgh, two granddaughters, Julian and Tracy of Strasbourgh, two sisters, Ann and (Stan) Sokoloski of Grimbsy, and Emily of Hamilton, and one brother, Walter (Margaret) of Mesa, and also many relatives. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Vera on April 3, 1992; his mother, (Stella) on October 2, 1984; his father (Efrem) on August 19, 1959; his brothers, (Mike) on July 9, 1967, and (Johnny) in the spring of 1932.

Slim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle and homemaker, who will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers make a charitable contribution to a charitable organization of your choice. Interment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Wyn-yard, on Saturday, December 5th, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. Lunch will follow at the United Church in Wynyard. REINHARDT Dorothy (nee Jones) died on Monday, November 30 at St. Paul's Hospital after waging a courageous battle against cancer. She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family: one son, Russell Herbert Reinhardt (Alice Gabelman) of New Westminster, BC; two daughters, Annabel le (Robert) Hryniuk of Leask, SK and Margaret (Ronald) Hnatiuk of Swift Current, SK; seven grandchildren, Dana Reinhardt, Kari Reinhardt of Vancouver, BC, Trevor Reinhardt of Port Coquit-lam, BC, Christine Hryniuk of Duluth, Minnesota, Rob Hryniukof Leask, SK, Justin Hnatiuk of Calgary, AB and Lee Hnatiuk of Saskatoon; two sisters, Isabel Davie of Edmonton, AB and Millicent (Jack) Dawson of Saskatoon; brother-in-law, Don Fuller of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law, Dr. Eloise Jones of Saskatoon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a very special friend, Mary Reinhardt of Port Coquitlam, BC. DALKE Edward 'Ed' Dalke, age 76 of Saskatoon, passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital on December 1, 1992. The Service of Remembrance will be held from Acadia Drive Funeral Chapel (Eighth Street East and Acadia Drive) on Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Miessner officiating. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Catherine Dalke of Saskatoon; two children, daughter Myra (Floyd) Clouse of Estevan and son Ken (Susan) Dalke of Saskatoon; three grandsons, Todd, Scott and Aaron Clouse; two brothers, Philip (Hariett) Dalke of Vancouver, George (Margaret) Dalke of Windsor, ON; also several nieces and nephews.

Ed was bom on November 27, 1916 in Jansen, SK where he went to school, was raised and farmed. Ed was an active member in the community until moving to Saskatoon in 1967. Shortly after his arrival in Saskatoon, Ed started working for Plainsman Builders and remained with the company until his retirement at age 65. Ed loved meeting and talking to people. He would do anything he could to help other people.

Ed was a very generous man. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the I.C.U. co St. Paul's Hospital, 1702 20th Street West, Saskatoon, S7M 0Z9. It is with special thanks to the nurses for giving the never ending care to Dad and to us your overall understanding.

DEATHS 1000 MARTIN Reginald Clarence pioneer farmer of the Juniata district passed away at St. Ann's Senior Citizens's Village in Saskatoon on Thursday, December 3rd, 1992.

Bom in Mel-ita, Manitoba in 1904 to George and Constance Martin. They moved to Saskatoon in 1905. Reg attended King George Public School and later Nutana Collegiate. They moved to Juniata in 1917 where he farmed until 1980 when he retired to Saskatoon. He was active in his community and was a charter member of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool.

He married Violet Call on November 4th, 1931. Reg was a loving husband, kindly father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. Predeceased by his mother and father; brothers, George, William and Leonard and by his sister, Mae. He leaves to mourn, his wife of 61 years; his children, Dr.

Murray (Audrey) Martin, of Brandon, MB, Dr. Leonard (Mina) Martin of Regina, Frances (Frank) Zerr of Hanna. AB, Zelda (Ernest) Reichert of Kelowna, BC and Elaine Martin of Saskatoon; eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Winnie (Bill) Cowley, Florence Peckenpaugh, Jean (Carl) Wikberg and brothers-in-law, Jack (Edna) Call and Fred (Margaret) Call. A Memorial Service will be held from McKague's Funeral Chapels on Monday, December 7th, 1992' at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev.

She is survived by her loving husband, Oswald, Young, SK; son, Brent (Beverly) Monson. Saskatoon; daughter, Karen (Brent) Carlton, Cut Knife, SK; and by her parents, Arthur and Lillian Childs, Colon-say, SK; sister, Marlene (Ewen) Fisher, Saskatoon; grandsons. Jordan and Tanner Carlton, Greg and Scott Monson; and by aunts, uncles and cousins. Bom at Young, SK, March 30, 1939. She attended Rapid Advance School and Young High School and went on to graduate from Robertson Business College in Saskatoon.

On October 12, 1959 she married Oswald Monson. Over the years they lived in Young, Renown, Watrous, Elfros and moved back to the farm in Young in 1976. Her support and love will be eternally remembered. We loved her dearly. She left us with many wonderful memories.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society for Research into Liver Cancer. The Funeral Service will be held in Young United Church, Young, SK on Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Alison West.

STROHAN The death of Nykola Nick' Stro-han, age 86 years, of Saskatoon, SK, beloved husband of Maty Worobetz Strohan, occurred at St. Joseph's Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 2nd, 1992. Julien, SK on October 21st, 1906. He farmed at Alticane, SK from 1933 to 1942, then opened a General Store in Mayfair which he owned and managed until 1976 at which time he retired to Battle-ford, SK. In 1989, due to failing health, Nick moved to St. Joseph's Nursing Home where he resided until his passing. (In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.

Safin TAYLOR B. Victor Taylor passed away peacefully on December 1st, 1992. Vic will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his loving daughter, Heather, son-in-law. Dr. Albert Ball (Bert); and grandchildren, Candtce, Kris-ten and Jason.

Vic was bom April 2nd, 1911 in Winnipeg where he lived most of his life. In 1932 he married Olive Tyson with whom he shared many happy years until Olive's sad passing November 21st, 1968. Vic's work was always a very important part of his life starting out at Campbell Bros, and Wilson, then J.M. Sinclair and later as Credit Manager at Kays Ltd. in Winnipeg.

After retiring from Kays Vic moved to Saskatoon. After moving to Saskatoon, Vic shared many wonderful years with Heather and Bert and shared in the lives of his grandchildren, Candice, Kris-ten and Jason. He was a dedicated, loving father and grandfather who was an example and inspiration to everyone around him. Vic enjoyed his years in Saskatoon residing at the Genesee View Condominium where he had many good friends and "pool He spent many happy times with his special friends Tom and Gene Ball. During Vic's time on earth, he touched the lives of many people.

His caring and generosity were a way of life. Vic believed that by helping others, good fortune would follow. He lived by his belief always. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul 's Hospital and especially Dr.

Donald Boyd and Dr. M. S. Slobodzian for all that they did. Interment will take place in Winnipeg at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Dr. Earle DeCoteau and her four children, Dr. John, Bill and Mary-Jo all of Toronto and Tom of Erie, PA, USA; her mother, Mrs. Mary Phelan, a resident of St. Anne's Home in Saskatoon: her brothers, Frank (Carol) Phelan, Martin Phelan and Hugh (Mary) Phelan and their childen, Michael, Erin and James, all of Calgary, AB.

Jim Phelan of Vancouver, BC; Father Dan Phelan, S.J., Pickering, ON and her very special brother, Andy who resides In a Gerrtty House sponsored by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions in Regina. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mary-Jo (Alex) Beverage and Theresa Kommes and her children, Dan, Brian, Paul, Mary, Anne, Martin and Michael, all of Calgary, AB plus several close relatives in Ireland, the eastern United States and Texas and her dear friend Lorna Stack of Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her father, Hugh Phelan in 1985 and her infant brother, Kevin in 1956. Anne was born in Jackson Heights, Long Island, NY on December 4, 1938. She moved to Canada with her parents in 1950.

She took her high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Regina. She then graduated with a BA from the University of Saskatchewan (St Thomas More) in 1959, where she was also well known as a Shakespearean actress. After graduation she worked as a Social Worker in Prince Albert. She married Earle DeCoteau on July 1. 1961, while he was still an early medical student.

She continued her career as a Social Worker in Saskatoon and Columbus, Ohio, and then concentrated on raising her family, which she did with great dedication and enthusiasm. For several years she was a board member of Catholic Family Welfare and St. Anne's Senior Citizen's Village. Sne also was an active volunteer of the United Way, Cancer Society, and the Parkridge Centre. She especially enjoyed helping the frail elderly and had a very special place in her heart for her brother, Andrew, a victim of Down's Syndrome.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be deeply missed all who knew her well.
