on April 28, 1915. youth and received her education married Ernie at Donavon and Meskanaw in the 1930's where they MCIVOR Wilbert of Girvin, Saskatchewan passed away suddenly on March 22nd, 1987, at the age of 72. Predeceased by his parents, Jamesand Annie, and one brother, Charles, also his loving wife, Faere in 1981, a son Darrell in 1978, he is survived by twodaughters, Wilda (Mel) Bronken of Kamloops, B.C., Shelly-Ann (Dean) Jaeger of Merritt, B.C., two sons, Dennis (Irene), Perry (Ronna) both of Girvin, six granddaughters, three grandsons, one great-granddaughter, three brothers, Stan (Irene) of Swift Current, Allan (Margaret) of Davidson, Jay (Dorothy) of Regina, two sisters, Belle (Ken) White of Girvin, Sask. and May Page and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilbert was born January 11, 1915 on the homestead east of Girvin.

He completed his schooling in Girvin and has continued farming at Girvin until his passing. In 1940 he married Faere Old. He was very active in the community, playing and coaching hockey, playing and umpiring baseball as well as being an avid curler. From 1956 to 01968 he was Reeve of the R.M. of Arm River, Sask.

He was instrumental in the development and progress of the larger Davidson Dam, the Craik Dam, the Davidson Swimming Pool, the Craik Regional Park, the Senior Citizen Home, and numerous other proiects. He was President of the Arm River Liberal Association for five years. Then was elected as M.L.A. for Arm River for four years. In 1971, he took up harness racing.

It became a way of life which he was still very active in. He was Vicepresident of the Saskatchewan Standard Bred Association for the past two years. The Funeral Service will be held in the Girvin United Church on Wednesday, March 25th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Alvin Hingley officiating.

For friends swishing, donations to the Girvin Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family. Interment to follow in the family plot of the Girvin Cemetery. Hanson's Funeral Home, of Davidson in charge of arrangements. PARKER The death of Edward A. Parker, age 63 years, of Lansdowne Avenue, Saskatoon, occurred peacefully at home on March 23, 1987.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 25th at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Saskatoon Funeral Home conducted by Archdeacon H.W. Brandrick. (In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saskatchewan Heart Foundation, 279-3rd Ave. Saskatoon or to St.

Paul's Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated). Surviving are: his wife, Bette; a daughter, Lynn and her husband, Ron Adam of Winnipeg; a son, Les Parker and his wife Bonny of Red Deer; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Adam and Alicia and Darryl Parker; his mother, Mrs. Ellen Parker; a sister and two brothers. He was predeceased by his father, Les Parker in 1958. Mr.

Parker was born in Tessier, Saskatchewan on December 13, 1923. He received his schooling at Ardath and in 1942 joined the Royal Canadian Navy where he trained as a telegraphist and served on Motor Torpedo Boats. Following his discharge, Mr. Parker trained as an electrician and for his first job was employed by Westinghouse. He worked for them for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1983.

Mr. Parker was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed curling, golfing, hunting and fishing particularly at his cabin at Weyakwin. He was a longtime member of Conquest Lodge No.132 A.F. A.M.

and was a Life Member of the Army, Navy and Airforce Veterans Unit No. 38 of Saskatoon. Interment wil take place in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. (Courtesy parking south of the Chapel on 4th Avenue at 25th Street). YOUNG The death of Mrs.

Mary Young, age 76 years, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan occurred in a local hospital on March 23, 1987. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 1987 at 1:30 p.m., from the Chapel of the Saskatoon Funeral Home conducted by Archdeacon H.W. Brandrick. (In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society). Surviving are: her loving husband, Art, two sons, Bill and his wife, Dianne of Martensville, Bob of Saskatoon, two grandchildren, Greg and Troy both of Martensville, one sister, Shirley and her husband Fred Maguire of Stayner, one brother, John Weir of Brantford, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, and three brothers. Mrs. Young was born on October 29th, 1910 at Creemore, Ontario. She received her education at the public school at Creemore, her high school at Stayner, Ontario, and then trained as a nurse at Toronto Western Hospital graduating in 1934. Mrs.

Young worked in Ontario as a nurse until 1943 when she moved to Trail, B.C., and then to Lethbridge, Calgary and Medicine Hat. She was married in Lethbridge in 1945 to Art Young, and they moved to Saskatoon 1958, where she was employed at the Saskatoon Sanitorium until retiring in 1975. Mrs. Young was a Life member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Women's Auxiliary, she served on the executive in various positions, and was also one of the charter members of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Saskatoon. She was a devoted wife.

Inaddition to his wife Sarah, Chris is survived by one daughter Judy and son-in-law Ron I Baht and four grandchildren Kimberly, Michelle, Jody and Michael. One brother Otto (Lena) of Duncan, B.C., and sisters Jean Schatz, Saskatoon, Elsie (Ebert) Myhr, Duncan, B.C., Helen (Joe) Stockert, Burnaby, B.C. Alvina (Gordon) Rue, Saskatoon, Sask. and Erna (Fred) Dieno, Young, Sask. He was predeceased by one daughter Wanda, his mother and father, sister Frieda (Ed) Steinhauer and Rose (Eric) Dieno.

Chris was born in the Viscount District on February 9th. 1914 and farmed in the Morris Community until moving to Young in 1967 and worked at the McClellan School at the CN and the Water Pumping Station. He enioyed music, dancing and sports. The Funeral Services were held at Christ Lutheran Church in Young on March 22nd. Interment took place at Young Cemetery.

Surviving are: her loving husband John; two daughters: Donna (Bill) Ziegler of Saskatoon and Diana Wolfe of Saskatoon; sons: Ronald Wolfe of Saskatoon and Brian (Marilynn) Wolfe of Edson, two grandchildren: Jason and Sherri Ziegler; her mother: Mrs. Violet Derman of Saskatoon and four brothers: Wilf Derman of Lynn Lake, Ray Derman of Saskatoon; Morley (Janet) Derman of Lethbridge, Alta. and Ivan (Edie) Derman of Summerland, B.C. She was predeceased by her father, Mr. Reginald Derman and one brother, Norman Derman.

The late Mrs. Wolfe was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and later moved to the Carrot River district with her parents. She served overseas with the C.W.A.C. during World War Two. She married John Wolfe in 1946 and they lived at Lynn Lake, Manitoba until 1960 when they came to Saskatoon and had resided here since.

Mrs. Wolfe was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Nutana Branch No. 362 in Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Fund, The Cancer Clinic, University Hospital, Saskatoon, S7N 0X0. The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Lee Gregor, Sylvia Currie, Edna Rowe, Pat Edgar, Bernice Wood, Mae Kidd, Helen Street and Donna Lummerding.

The Active Pallbearers will be: Garnet Stoen, John Graham, Fred Kidd, Lorne Wood, Henry Preston and Malcolm MacLeod. Royal Canadian Legion Rites will be conducted in the Chapel by Nutana Branch No. 362. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Men orial Gardens. Ar.

He is also survived by his son, Kevin (Kym) and his daughter, Gwen (Dean) Carter both of Saskatoon, his father Eugene of North Battleford, his sister Madelyn (Jerry) Zimmer of North Battleford, three brothers, Ray (Kay) of Haines Junction, Yukon, Mike (Gail) of Grande Prairie, Alta. and Albert (Amy) of Brampton, many other relatives and especially his loved godchildren, Judy Sander, Connie Ryhorski, Edith Konchakowski, Valerie Trautman, Joan Erickson, Alison Frey, Kim Trautman and Kristen Trautmen. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Eva. Jerry was bornon October 22, 1940 in Wilkie, Sask. and was raised in the Drummond Creek district.

He married Velma Trautmann on May 12, 1962. Jerry spent most of his time in the banking and retail business and for the past two and a half years owned and operated his own business. of passed away at the University Hospital, Saskatoon, on Tuesday, March 10th, 1987 at the age of 52 years. Jim was born on January 11, 1935 in Unity, district, He graduated from the U. of S. SchooLof Agriculture in 1955 and College of Agriculture in 1961. He married Thema M.

Johnson on August 13th, 1960. He farmed in partnership with his father in the Unity District from 1955 to 1972. Throughout his life he was involved in many organizations, among them the Western Canadian Blind Golfer's N. Battleford Lions Club, Blind Bowlers, Battlefords Exhibition Association, Northwest Regional 4-H Council, Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, Councillor of R.M. 411.

He received many recognition awards including: 4-H Leadership Award 1962; R.M. Senlac Public Service Award 1971; Battlefords Agricultural Society Appreciation Award 1976; Saskatchewan Northwest Hereford Club Award for contributions to the beef industry 1980; Shared recognition award from S.I.A. in starting the Sask. Agric. Youth Institute 1981; Shared Battleford Agric.

Society Member of the Year Award 1985; a number of recognition awards from the N.B. Lions Club. Citizen of the Year Award, Battlefords and surrounding district 1985. Life Membership in the Sask. Agric.

Graduates Ass'n. 1986. One of the Distinguish-Graduates in Agriculture Awards at the 75th Anniversary of the College of Agriculure July, 1986. Funeral Service was held March 14th from the Battleford United Church with Rev. R.L.
